Has anyone seen one of these in the wild yet? The local OB told me not until September at the earliest and that the sub seconds 1948 was all spoken for.

Not yet and I’ve been checking daily

I have one on order, first on the list and I’ve been told late Sep earliest. But they feel it could be closer to the end of the year.

I’m also first for a ck2998 which I was told July but that also slipped to aug / sep.

I’ve seen no one post about that here either.

Almost September, anyone that reserved one has any news to share? The OB here now says November if you ask when they are coming in the wild.

Threads on this watch seem oddly quiet for an imminent LE. I know it is maybe a bit niche and does not hold the fan pase a speedy LE might? Is there a lack of interest I wonder? Personally (judging on on the photos I’ve seen) i think it is a beutiful piece (talking small seconds). Curious if there any on the forum who’ve their name down.

FWIW, the 1948 LEs are what led me to Omega in the first place. But then I started looking at vintage. And then I bought a FOIS. :whistling:

My name was down on the small seconds within 5 mins of announcement.

I’m first on list, at my local omega boutique (uk)

Cannot wait, apparently this month is the month.

Once this piece hits the market I think some more PR will come out. It’s such a beautiful piece in the flesh. It sits beautifully on my/the wrist

I don’t think many people, even watch fans know about this.

Ditto. But a little surprised given it is so close that there’s not more chatter about it here. Maybe not top spot given the attention Ultraman is getting, but neither expected it to be buried 3 pages deep.

I’m waiting for the central second hand. Omega website says it’ll be available in December.

Took this photo at the WatchTime Fair Omega booth. Very impressed with it. Congrats to whoever has it reserved.

Picked up my Ultraman today at the London Oxford st boutique. They offered to put me on this list for this. I was told January. They did not have a picture of it in their internal catalog (rough looking book with hand written notes etc).

They did the same when i picked up my PO there. I wonder if they’re asking anyone who shows their face in the shop :D

Has anybody been given a firm date when they will be available, I was told November but the website says December.

Is it me, or does that sub-dial placement look odd? I would prefer the sub-dial to be further outwards. Could it be just a small mvt in a big case??

Mmmmm, nice but nothing special, esp when compared to the Real Original...... :p:p:p

Both 6 digits apart serial-number-wise (at a cost of approx eur 800 each, including a service by my top-notch watchmaker) from 1953

    Sorry....:D
