Omega geneve or seamaster 600 or something else

hey,

i recently received an Omega watch. It was sold as an Omega Seamaster ref. 136.012 cal. 613 approximately 33mm from 1968. In my opinion especially the dial, crown and hands look original. Maybe the seamaster or geneve lines disappeared with the age. Looking at the database you麓ll find the Geneve 1967 with ST 136.012, which would suit to the calibre 613 and somehow the dial. Was this one going with the seamaster caseback? I am a little bit confused with this watch. I would be really thankful if someone has information about this one 馃榾

The dial is in bad shape. Was at least cleaned and lost many minutes tick marks, and most likely also lost the Seamasted, which should be there. Without closer dial pics is impossible to say any more.

thanks fjf. That`s the closest i can get. I am wondering if there was an seamaster around with cal 613 and 32,5mm around this time. It feels a bit unsatisfying not to know the model.

There was some dial variation with these models - some were marked Geneve others Seamaster and others without a model name. I'm fairly certain that watches with a Seamaster marked caseback should also have the Seamaster dial variation. If this is true, then the caseback was swapped at some point or the Seamaster mark on the dial has been lost/wiped away.

ok, thank you very much. so i guess it麓s the Omega Seamaster 600 model.
  • Omega caliber 613, quickset date, in production 1967-1973, movement serial between 250xxxxx-360xxxxx. Caliber 613 was fitted in the case references 136.011 and 136.012.
even the dial is really bad, for 180 euros, i am fine 馃榾

I coincidentally found the same one from 2015. I think there are seamasters around without the lines.

IMHO the shapes of both the dial batons and the case lugs would incline me towards it being a seamaster.
