Omega F300 cleaning recommendations and questions!

Hello! I recently won the below Omega at auction and am wondered what everyone would recommend cleaning-wise!
I plan to have the case cleaned to remove the grime and potentially the glass polished. The dial looks to be in very good condition and the listing stated it is near mint. My only issue is the date box looks pretty beat up, how easy of a clean is it for a shop to bring the date box back to life?

The watch is a 198.003, for this dial specifically I've only seen it as a Seamaster or without any name listed. Does that mean it is a Seamaster without the name or its something else entirely? I've looked through https://electric-watches.co.uk/ and couldn't find any references for this dial.

Thanks for any advice you can provide!

The dials on these F300 were all over the place and there was not really a strong connection between the model name and case reference. You got yourself a nice watch. I would send it to Rob B. in Thailand for a full service. He is a top notch tuning fork guy and you will be hard pressed to find someone to do it for less money. Shipping to Thailand is a little weird, but he will provide you with a label and forms printed in Thai.

It's an early 198.003. "Constellation" was added to the dial on later versions.

I was planning on sending it Rob's way, but as the seller was going to ship it he realized the watch was running fast and gave me two options since he didn't feel comfortable selling it as it. Have his watch guy service it (at his cost), then ship it to me or refund me. I went with the service as I don't see this watch/dial pop up that often in good condition and don't want to lose it. So once received, no service should be necessary just a cleaning. I also didn't see him list dial cleaning/restoration as one of the services he offered.

Piggybacking off this thread rather than making yet another, I have a similar watch that needs service. Are there any US domestic suggested people? I don't want to send it out of country, but e-mailed Chris at Timeguy approx a week ago and have heard nothing, so I don't know if he's stil doing this work.

Chris Radek is definitely still there and doing his stuff.
Other options State-side are Jarett Harkness at unwindintime and Electric avenue.
I've not had any contact with Electric Avenue. I have had work done by Jarett and I can confrim that his excellent reputation is thoroughly deserved.

I've spoken with Chris about getting work done on an electric watch, but in the end my local watchmaker was able to sort the issue. Chris came across as being competent, knowledgable and easy to deal with.
