Its that time of year again, and we will be using this thread as an index for all Baselworld 2012 Omega threads, with this thread remaining a sticky until 2013.

2012 - Omega Z-33 SpaceMaster
2012 - Omega Speedmaster "First Omega In Space"
2012 - Omega DeVille Chronograph Cal 9300

The first preview video has been released, featuring what appears to be a Calibre 9300 / Calibre 9301 De Ville or Hour Vision, a new three subdial co-axial Speedmaster (possibly a Calibre 9300 varient), an 18K Rose Gold, Mother of Pearl dial Planet Ocean most likely for ladies, an 18K Rose Gold Cal 9300 Planet Ocean Chronograph, and 18K Rose Gold, Mother of Pearl dial, and white ceramic bezel Planet Ocean Chronograph, possibly another ladies version.

It looks like the Calibre 9300 base movement is really going to begin to earn its keep this year for Swatch Group's flagship company, and with Omega's rich and deep history of manufacturing impeccable quality chronographs dating back to the legendary Calibre 321 of the 1950s and 1960s, its terrific to see them return to the company's roots.

The Aqua Terra models look pretty nice. How big are they?

Wish the preview vid showed more detail (a lot more). A tricompax Speedy would be something to see. Have they done one before? I'm sure I've seen a moonphase subdial on a Speedmaster but the full tricompax?

A very common mistake. Tri-compax refers to the number of complications, not the number of subdials. 😉

Yes, there are triple calendar moonphase Speedmasters. The 175.0038, based on the Valjoux 7751, comes from the early 90's:

The calendar without the moonphase is the one we see most often in blue, black, and silver dialed versions - the 3222.xx colored bezel and 3523.xx polished bezel are around the forum. The color codes at the end are 30 = silver, 50 = black, 80 = blue.

Oh really, I honestly had thought Bi-Compax referred to the two subdial arrangement like on the Cal 9300 Speedmasters, with Tri-Compax referring to the 3, 6, and 9 subdial layout. I'll edit the first post accordingly in that case.

And yes, I LOVE the fact that the new De Ville Cal 9300 looks almost like a modern remake of my Cal 320 18K chronograph. The yellow hands speedmaster is interesting in that they seem to have a new caseback design for the Speedmaster, in line with the current Planet Ocean and recent Seamaster Pro casebacks, but also because they've redesigned the bracelet by the looks with what seems like a double folding butterfly clasp. I'm very keen to see if those Speedmasters are powered by a manual wind, three register Cal 9300 varient rather than a co-axial modified Cal 1861.

Thanks Dennis - that is a beautiful piece 🥰. I'll bet it's worth a serious amount of $$$.
Yeah, I did mean tricompax, not just 3 subdials. Tricompax needs 3 specific complications, not just 3 in total. And sorry for hijacking this Basel thread - keep those great pics rolling in.....😀

The De Ville range has had a complete overhaul. My boss didn't have too many details, but mentioned one had a power reserve, which, presumably, is the one in the third picture from the bottom
