Tourneau Told me recently that I’m irder to carry Rolex they were no longer carrying Omega. Same as Ben Bridge. Interestingly enough, Tourneau recently bought Baron & Leeds (exclusive Rolex Boutique) that is locates two doors down from the Omega boutique in Costa Mesa, CA (South Coast Plaza)

Could be a CA only thing. But that could be a reason why they don’t have them there.

What? I think that’s a CA thing. I remember seeing Rolex and Omega together at Tourneau whenever I step inside for a look.

Oh man those $18 cocktails...
$18? Such a deal!! In 2008, my wife and I wanted the NYC rooftop cocktail experience. $22 per drink was the cost of entry.

Wow, you got the roof top rip off. As someone who has lived in Manhattan for over 18 years, $22 is exorbitant even for NYC - but they do charge you a premium for roof top. I find that roof top cocktails are not only overly expensive, but also not very good.

I'm a Martini and Old Fashioned guy (mostly martini). In NYC if I'm paying $14-16 for a martini I'm happy, for $18 it'd better be fantastic, and for $20 or more it had better be the best damn cocktail I've ever had! But then I go somewhere, say like the midwest, and order a martini and when the bill comes I do one of these 😲, and then one of these 🙁 next time I have to buy one in NYC!

I can’t tell you whether you’ll get a discount at the OB on Fifth Avenue (although I doubt it), but I can tell you that the staff there is exceptionally courteous, professional and friendly. Truly a class act. I’ve purchased two Omegas, neither of them from that OB, but every time I’ve gone in to window shop they treat me like royalty and serve me champagne and chocolates while I’m looking. Rather than traveling to a brick and mortar AD, had you thought about buying from one of the recommended sellers on this forum?

There are 2 boutiques in manhattan that I know of. Ive been to both. One up by times square and another right by 9-11 memorial. But honestly you are seriously crazy to buy an omega watch from one of their boutiques. They charge retail!

What?! That’s the cost of the drink itself without tips? After tips $22 sounds about right. Outside of the city $8-14 is the norm

Good $14 cocktails in the city are somewhat hard to find nowadays I think the norm starts at $16

You can still find a $14 Martini in Manhattan - sure, it's not easy, but it can be done. But you have a point about "good" cocktails for under $16.

If you become a regular somewhere you can even get them for zero. One Manhattan restaurant my wife and I go to hasn't charged us for any of our drinks in over a year, and they are good drinks.

I bought my DSOTM from one of those two OBs and I didn't pay MSRP

Oh, that was then! Yes, paid a premium for the rooftop thing but now when in NYC it's Employees Only, Flatiron Lounge or Little Branch. Or wherever our friends decide to take us. Love the strong 'adult' slush drinks at Tipsy Parson in Chelsea. Great for hot summer days, but boy o Boy! Watch out! These days, however, I make my own killer Manhattans, Old Fashioneds, Negroni and Kentucky Mules.

Good man - Employee's Only and Little Branch - two of my absolute faves! The wife and I also make our own Old Fashioneds (and Martinis)...gotta take it easy though because we put way more booze in there than the bars do!

I found the OB staff on Fifth Ave in NYC to be very welcoming. Their "parts" department is extremely well stocked!

I agree - really nice people. I've never bought anything yet from the location but they're always friendly, courteous and knowledgeable.

......The rest of my experience there was terrific, from being served coffee to the cocktail bar. I was shown some vintage pieces that they had for sale, was never once made to feel like I should consider anything other than what I went there to buy.

I had a pretty nice experience there this past week--went in to ask about the 321, and a few other things. Being deaf, I normally ask people to write things down for me, since most people don't know sign language, and my rep was quite obliging. Here's part of our conversation:

Of course, it's just my luck their Omega guy was out for the day, so the conversation wasn't as informative as I hoped. We ended up talking about diamonds, especially perfectly imperfect diamonds, and Valjoux movements, and stuff like that. Nice guy. And he did offer me a drink....
