Hello, I want to purchase my first Omega watch (finally!) and I wanted to know if nowadays you can still ask for discounts on popular models (in my case an Aqua Terra 150M 41mm). I know there are a few threads on discounts, but they all seem a few years old and with all the crazy things happening in the watch world at the moment I wanted to know if it is still realisitc to ask for a discount at an Omega AD without being laughed at. Also how much discount can a new customer expect?

If by any chance anyone knows a good AD in Switzerland (especially in Zurich), I would really appreciate a PM 😀

I haven't bought many watches in Switzerland since the 80's and 90's, but it was always hard to score much discount. But back in those days the exchange rate was about CHF 2.25 to 1 USD so the export price (less the Swiss VAT) was always well below what the equivalent watch in the US cost. However, I walked in to the Geneve Omega boutique in June 2017 looking for a plain hesalite Speedmaster. They only had one which they brought out from the back, without even pushing much I got a 5% discount after the VAT was removed. In addition they threw in an Omega deployant clasp and Omega strap in my choice of color. So I was happy with that deal.
