Still waiting for my speedy but when I receive it I'll try the bracelet on my FOIS.
Thank you so so much Tire-comedon! I'm very much looking forward to hearing what you find out! Hopefully I can get the bracelet for my beloved FOIS.

I don't think so. 3,557 pieces (plus another 500 in the set) is quite a lot, and while I think there is higher demand, I don't think it's enough of a difference to support huge profits. There may be a few, maybe 10, that are sold for a decent profit, but considering not all have been delivered yet I don't think it's going to pop.

I had the impression that 3,557 is the sum of the 557 pieces in the Trilogy set and the 3,000 pieces sold separately.

I also don't think Omega will release them as a standard line. They did the FOIS, which sold in OK numbers but nothing like the standard Professional. The SM300 MC is a great watch, but more of a modern interpretation of the older style. The truth is, reissue watches like the Trilogy might appeal greatly to watch nerds like us, but they don't have as much appeal to the type of person who just wants to reward him- or herself with something nice.

I do agree with your last statement wholeheartedly.

I truly believe that the big watch trend is coming to a close. This makes it easy for Omega to release their vintage pieces with smaller case sizes and with very little modification and sell very well. I'm actually waiting for them to re-issue the Constellation of the 50's or 60's.

I like your interpretation of 3557 total, rather than 3557+557. But I think the series numbers engraved on the casebacks say “XXXX/3557” and the sets are marked 1-557. We’ve seen individuals purchasers with 100, 57, etc. and those should be reserved numbers for the sets if it was a single run of 3557. That’s my take, anyway!

I had thought previously that one of these Trilogy bracelets would be perfect for the CK2998, but now I’m not so sure, after finding out that the bracelet is non-tapering. I’d be interested to see it, but doubtful.

Moot point, anyways, it seems, since it won’t fit.

BTW, it is my understanding that the FOIS and the CK2998 take the same bracelet size as they share pretty much the same case.

Back on 30 Mar 17, I posted this table based on information garnered from media and members on this website:

Reference: https://omegaforums.net/threads/omega-1957-trilogy-limited-editions-–-railmaster-seamaster-300-speedmaster’57.55120/page-34#post-681704

So months later as watches are being delivered, was the table correct and did anyone get a Speedmaster for less than the list?
You know, I didn’t choose a Speedmaster but two US OB’s offered it to me for $7200.

Hi there, Gents! Could any of you lucky purchasers throw a guy a bone here? I’m curious to know what leather strap comes with the Railmaster LE. Would someone mind posting a photo of it, please? If it’s on your watch, so much the better! A solo photo of the leather strap would be fine too. What does the buckle look like? I’ve seen so many photos in this thread and the RM one, but I can’t pinpoint what actually came in the presentation box. Thanks in advance!
Here is what came with my Railmaster.

Thanks! I like that buckle but I’m not in love with the strap. Pretty sure I’m going ng to use leather instead of steel. Where to obtain...let the subsidiary shopping begin!!

That seems like a pretty decent discount on an Omega LE @mikechi22.

At my local OB in Rio my Speedy Tuesday was recently invoiced at US$6.6K (all taxes included and after conversion to local currency).

But when I went to check the omegawatches.com "reveal the price" cost of the Trilogy LEs (again all taxes included and after conversion to local currency)

Railmaster LE is approx. US$7.7K
Speedy 57 LE is quoted at US$8.2K
SM 300 57 LE is quoted at US$7.95K
😲

As a comparative benchmark a Speedy FOIS on the same site is quoted at US$5.4K (pretty close to US retail pricing)

Will check with my local Rio OB...it looks like they are putting in a significant mark-up on the Trilogy editions for Brazil. The markup could be due to some additional "tax" having to deal with local corruption and security t🙄...or they are just being greedy😀

Perhaps in some upcoming business trip to the US / Canada I will find a Railmaster LE either at the Houston or Vancouver OBs...still not 100% sure on the purchase...as there is something else (hush, hush) that has caught my attention.

I didn’t think that was a discount - that is just what they were charging, to the best of my knowledge. The RM was $6800 and the SM was $7000...I should recheck those emails as this is causing me to doubt myself. RM price is definite though.

The table shows prices I was told back in March. That was pretty soon after Basel, so it is possible those were wrong or revised later.

I am not a cool kid sniff, sniff🙁

Actually this is what is tempting me...vintage ref., column wheel chronograph, motorsport watch and LE. Ticks several check-boxes. Negatives...too thick? Yes...unproven movement in the Heuer 02? Yes.

But I think this would still look very good on a black leather racing strap...

It’s a beauty. Just last night I was doing some reading about Heurer and TAG. I didn’t know that they still branded some watches as “Heurer” only though, which is a pleasant surprise.

I've also got my sights on an Autavia at some point. They've been doing the Heuer branding with heritage pieces for quite a while - even in the 1990s (interesting side point - my Carrera reissue below uses a manual wind variant of the Lemania 1873 base movement as found in the Speedmaster as the 1861). Although they only really started up again in 2012-ish with the Jack Heuer Carrera. I can heartily recommend Omega Forums sister site, Calibre 11 (https://forums.calibre11.com/) for anything Tag or Tag Heuer.
