Usually it’s something like 1 penalty unit is $313 and 6 penalty units is $1878 etc

I’m not sure what a QLD state penalty unit is worth. But looks like it’s 20 penalty units or something

So you speed and under 15km is 1 penalty unit over 15km is 2 penalty units and so forth….


I could drive 300kms over the speed limit or feed a croc.

I'd rather do 300kms over the limit. 😁

Just noticed over Brisbane we’ve got some B2 Spirit stealth bombers overhead at the moment. Have to say, for a billion dollars it’s not very stealthy, looks like a big jagged boomerang in the sky. Hopefully they don’t drop any freedom on our building as they go on their way.

Hopefully the Yank flight crews don’t accidentally leave the keys in them, we’ve got loose unit named Damo in the area that might have a good time stealing a stealth bomber

Maybe not, but bushfires can be devastating... image the heat inside this dome at Mount Stromlo observatory. The 1954 Grubb-Parsons 1.88 m (74 inch) reflector completely burnt in 2003. Until 1974 is was the largest telescope in the Southern hemisphere.
Meanwhile lots of reconstruction work has taken place on mount Stromlo!

They’re extremely intelligent and have excellent memories. So if they decide that your an arsehole you will always be an arsehole.
They can recognise faces and even cars.
They’re correct in their judgement of character as they all despise cyclists…..well what’s there to like about cyclists?

No don't make friends with them!

They have excellent memory as you say and good cognitive and reasoning skills but they will always defend their nests at mating or nesting season regardless of how good a friend you may be to them.

They will attack others, sure its all bravado, more bark than bite if you will however I found that if you shoot one then they and their family group and friends will go miles out of their way to avoid you and the place you inhabit.

This strategy has only to be done once and will last for many years.

I had a rural property which had many magpie's nesting on and around the property causing a nuisance to many of our visitors and friends, eventually I got sick of it and shot one, from then on you would see them flying in the distance in your direction, they would then make a very definite turn and fly around our property, lasted for many many years.

Nah I've never been attacked my local magpies ( in fact I've never been attacked by magpies anywhere! ) they hang about very friendly and serenade us with their songs 🎤👍, they eat various spiders, bugs, pests etc 👍, they chase away and kill the feral Indian mynahs which they hate with an absolute passion 👍, they follow me about the garden and workshop 👍, they sit with us on the deck keeping us company 👍 and even bring me presents (Chewed up bugs )🤮
Every year they bring their babies to meet us and they teach them that we are good humans.....unlike the evil cyclists!

I want to report to my Australian brethren Colin Haye played with Ringos all star band, saw them last night. Colin can still hit some amazing high notes it really doesn’t sound like his voice lost a step. He was phenomenal on guitar his guitar tech was busy the whole night. He also hit the bass tight when he and hammish Stuart traded instruments for a couple jams.

Spend a lot of time in the bush….they are a problem but not as bad as the video makes out.
Up north they are actively taken out. Know a few professional cullers of feral species and they are rare compared to pigs.
Feral Pigs are the big problem in Australia…
