Sounds like it was a nasty accident, but still not exactly the crocs fault.
People were also apparently feeding the croc from the bank.
"He said the penalty for deliberately feeding a crocodile was $6,452."
That's an oddly specific amount. $6000 court fine, $400 to pay for jail overnight, and $52 for the sheriff and deputy for coffee and lunch just for the nuisance of being called out to the river?
