But no ideas about the case origin.

That casemaker trademark is often found in US-cased Longines and Wittnauer watches from the 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s.

My guess is Armand Lemieux of New York is the casemaker.

Thanks for posting that - it's great to see another one! Simple, uncomplicated, but very handsome indeed, I have to say.

Thank you very much indeed for that - I'm learning all the time, and now I have the name, I can see how right you are, and the whole story hangs together: for instance, this JLC - couldn't be clearer! 👍

The answer to your question could be here:

Any other marks on the case?
Star Watch Case Company was one or the suppliers.

Thanks for replying - I think the blessed Desmond tells us Connies weren't ever cased in the USA, but I'm 99% sure this piece was (I'm not a great fan of 14kt usually, but it really works with this one). I've had a good look, but can't find any other marks. I'm sure (easy for me to be wise once I've been given the answer) that you and Coronado are right about Armand Lemieux. Thanks for stepping up! 😀

I think Desmond stopped updating the website a while ago and this is learn in progress as more info surfaces every day.
I also think that Omegas were cased in US with US produced cases.
Star Watch Case Company also made cases for Omega, Longines and UG. Company had good business going on thanks to US import taxes on watches.

I am not aware of any Omega Constellation models cased in the US. There were many, many other Omega models cased in the US.

True, Desmond is only referring to Connies...
