Hello Forum, I have been reading you for a bit and have learned a ton. I recently bought a vintage Seamaster and I am having trouble ID'ing the watch. I was told this was a 1970 but with the blue/green color dial and the flange on the tip of the chronograph second hand I am bit stumped. I don't have the serial number and also don't have the tools to open up the back. I am interested if this is the mythic .321 movement that I have been reading about and any information about the providence of this watch I am completely in love with. See photos please. Here is what I do know: Purchased from a reputable vintage watch dealer in NYC. Condition: Face looks original as some missing paint on the second register's hand. Also when one looks on the inside of the face there seems to be a bit of discoloration on the steal as this has not been opened (total guess here ). Some nicks on the bezel. Crystal has some some very light scratches. Everything works perfectly and keeps wonderful time. Movement: Manual wind Bracelet: marked with 1170 Thank you very much for your collective knowledge! Tim
A 1970's chronograph won't be a 321. Have you tried searching the forum for "seamaster chronograph"? Bracelet matches 1970's period for speedy's. But I don't much about these chrono's.
Seamaster Chronograph, cal 861. Reference145.029. The orange hands are a bit faded, but a nice watch. Preceding models housed a cal 321. ( 145.006) I think Spikispikester , among others, has one of these.
No, 633 endpiece is for a "round" case, the 145.022. Also this case has 22mm lugs. Now a 145.016 has 20mm lugs. I haven't found an endpiece that touches the case, only round ends. Here's my 145.016 cal 861, bracelet 1161and 735 ends.
BTW, here is an EXCELLENT bit of research and exposition by the estimable @uwsearch https://omegaforums.net/threads/fro...-and-speedmaster-bracelets.45883/#post-544374
The 1170 22mm with 631 end pieces also fits on my 176.007 cal 1040 . Cases are very similar, probably need different end pieces.
