    Hi there!
Been wondering, why does the seamaster 300 MC is not popular compared to the seamaster 300m diver?
I really think that the 300 MC presents omega design philosophy very well, even better than the diver 300m.
Still, the 300 MC doesnt get the same love compared to the diver 300m.
    Why is that?
My SM 300 says hello :)

It’s a lovely looking watch in my opinion. I’ve never tried one on but from what I hear it’s wears quite high on the wrist due to the thickness of the movement?

I prefer it as well, but I like both.

I'd go for the blue dial in titanium

All I can say is that I love mine !

I find the SM300MC a lot more classy than the new 300M, which in my opinion looks a bit cartoonish....

Regarding thickness I don't find mine specially tall on the wrist. Not even when wearing it on an Omega NATO.

I think the main reason there are more recent posts on the new 300m Professional is because it is so new (2018 release date) and because its price point is about $2k less than the Seamaster 300MC. There were tons of posts on the 300MC when it came out.

Still a lot of love for it out there, I assure you.

Hey man for me it’s honestly just that it looks old and vintage and I prefer the modern look of the new seamaster, like the date window, and prefer the rubber strap.

Probably because for the price of the 300MC you can get the SM300 trilogy instead..

I love the Seamaster 300MC. IMHO, I think Omega did a great modern interpretation on the original. I was close to pulling the trigger, until the Trilogy Seamaster 300 was unveiled:

However, I also have the SMPc:

    Which
Great, which one do like more or do wear more often? Thinking about to ad SMPC or to sell the 60th anniversary. Really like the modern, sporty look of the new diver

Interesting. This is precisely why I prefer the 300MC to the Trilogy. Because it is a modern interpretation while the Trilogy is more like a re-creation of the original. It's good to have options !!

I personally feel the SM300 MC is one of the best watches Omega has in their catalogue. I absolutely love mine. The dial is retro and simple. The bezel is stunning. The bracelet - particularly the quick adjustment - is fantastic. Sure, the case is not thin by any means - but it's a dive watch after all!

I feel it is a great medium between vintage asthetic and modern tech. Looks equally good on the beach or under the cuff :)

It's the next watch on my wish list. It does wear a bit large, but I think it looks good on my 7.75" wrist. I keep annoying various ADs by dropping in and trying it on.

Since I only acquired it just over 2 weeks ago, I’ve been wearing the 60th Anniversary. But, I expect to wear both often in my rotation.

One other thing that is nice about the 300MC is how good it looks on leather straps and NATOs. 38946ED4-72C0-4E1E-8F91-4B7DDC93E94D.jpeg F92DA3F7-26A0-4629-AA64-100622D596A1.jpeg

Oh, there's plenty of love around here for the SM300 MC. Don't you worry about that!

I like the watch in pictures but when I tried it on, I couldn’t fit my shirt cuff around it. The watch was too thick for me. If the watch was 2-3mm thinner, I would like it a lot more.

I really like the SM300, but if I were to buy one today I would most likely try to find the Spectre Limited Edition to a reasonable price.

I love the Seamaster 300, both the MC and the 60th Anniversary Trilogy. I had the 300MC for a while, sold it, and later regretted it. That is, until the Trilogy came out. They sold so quickly, I never got to see one until a year later, walking by the window display at an AD. When I tried it on, I knew that was it, and never looked back. A smashing success by Omega for a Seamaster 300 revival. I know this is a lot of pics, but this is really an heirloom piece for me:

As one member said, right now the new 300m seems to be getting all the attention. I really like it a lot, but am holding off until I see what the James Bond LE might be whenever the next movie comes out.

    cheers,
    Carl
