That’s great news! Did you place order through Boutique or direct through Omega?
Direct on the Omega website.

That’s not an option in the US. I submitted my order on May 8th, by emailing form to
[email protected]

I would be very happy if I received email in a few weeks stating my extract is ready!

Is there an email address I could use to ask about my extract ? (other than the archive email). No sign of anything after 12 weeks... I ordered through the European website.

I simply called the Swatch, New Jersey and got an answer from one of the Customer Service Reps.
I also printed out the form sent to me in March requesting my Extract. I did not email my request.
My understanding is that those Extract requested from the US are sent to New Jersey for distribution.
Is there a telephone number for Swatch in Europe? That may be your best bet. Good luck!

What about the auction houses that need to ‘ahem’ check the provenance of their incredibly rare auction lots? I wonder if they will also have to wait (images of brown paper envelopes come to mind 😎)?
A stuffed brown paper envelope always helps.....

Didn't these cost 75 usd just a few years ago? I hear they are now 300 usd? I wonder how high Omega can set the price before watch owners will stop buying them. Sorry, but the parts stranglehold has me a bit miffed, and I believe they should provide this service online for free, given how much watch owners have ALREADY invested. They can easily afford to provide this service as a thank you to loyal customers. I'm sure many will disagree. I have never bought one and never will. Nor do I care if any watch I buy comes with one. Doesn't add a dime to the value, in my opinion.

Before the angry mob heads up the hill to my place with pitchforks and shovels in hand, keep in mind I am stating my opinion as an owner of many vintage Speedmasters (and a few Seamasters).

So I was wrong about the 300 usd? If so, I'm happy to be wrong. At 150, it's not as obscene, but the cost has been climbing steadily, it seems. It may have been 8 or 10 yrs ago that the cost was 75. Any vets here remember?

I paid $90.US a couple of years ago. I paid $150.US for the one that I ordered in March.
Is it safe to assume that these Extracts add value to our watch? If so then the value keeps going up 😀

Strangely, Longines is also in the Swatch group, but extract info by email is free, and lightning quick.

The museum is moving in Biel and probably all documents, too. Maybe that is the reason for the short break of this great service.

Great to see Omega are looking to improve and modernise this valuable system. A good friend paid for his extract in December and it took about 6 weeks to arrive, I wonder if the new system will speed this up a bit...

Why this is necessary? It is a manual process and it takes the time it needs. 6 weeks is absolutely ok, including Christmas holidays.
