Did anybody get one? Im curious to hear some first-hand experiences...

They're shipping in December. I ordered one, and I think @BlackTalon did as well. Will definitely post my impression when it gets here. Looking forward to it.

Can't really be a Nivada "Grenchen" if the company is no longer located in Grenchen. It can remain a Nivada.

Excited to see what number I get. I placed my order pretty much as soon as these went live.

I got a DHL shipping notice this morning that I *think* is from them (shipper is Reglatronic SA and a Google search indicates they are a Swiss watch company). If so, it should be arriving on Monday. 😎

Same here. Will be a nice way to wrap up the year.

I really like this reissue as I feel it stays very true to the original. My choice is the manual wind with broad-arrow and yellowed lume, on brown leather strap. The only thing keeping me back a bit is the 500 euro customs fee I would need to pay on top :/

Yes a very nice reissue and very welcoming they listened to the audience and charges a few things for the better along the way.

Maybe you should look at a vintage one? They are roughly the same price! 😀

Mine, not broad arrow though.

Got an email update from DHL indicating the shipment is delayed in Germany. Looks like no delivery next Monday after all.

Looks like the delay in Germany was a check with US Customs. The package departed Germany after about 6 hours. So Monday may still be a possibility.

On a side note, the DHL tracking web site is very informative.

It's a roller coaster. Package is now in the US (in Cincinnati) but is held up in customs due to needing import paperwork and exporter info. Seeing as how it is late afternoon on Christmas Eve in Europe I doubt this will be able to get cleared up until Monday.

Hopefully the package will resume movement today. Nivada does not deal with the import process, so it's up to each individual purchaser. So here in the US that means you need to provide the value of the case, bracelet and movement to DHL. I would have appreciated guidance on the values from Nivada (surprised they did not provide a filled-out form for Customs), but I Googled a bit and found price ranges from similar straps and stainless steel cases. All the rest of the value (~90% of it) went into the movement. I received/ paid an electronic invoice this morning, and it was for less than $50. If you bought with a metal bracelet instead of a rubber strap your invoice will be higher, since they are valued a bit higher.

With Christmas and the weekend it took 5 days to get this settled. I am crossing my fingers that it will arrive no later than lunchtime on the 31st, as my office will be closed for NYE at that time and it will be further delayed by New Years Day and the weekend.

All-in-all not a big deal, but I do wish Nivada had provided an import sheet with values. There is another OF member in my vicinity who is also working through this, and his first valuation sheet got rejected so he is a step behind me in the process.

Not the best pics, but took them last night while my 7 year old insisted on helping.

Great photos, @BlackTalon Congrats and wear this in good health! Could any of the new owners comment on the new watch, in general terms, please and thanks? For example, feel on the wrist, comfort, legibility, etc. Very general/high-level/initial thoughts. Thanks!

It's a little smaller than what I normally wear (Speedmasters, a PO and a Sinn UV). I wore it all day Wednesday and it was pretty comfortable. The Tropic strap is a bit short; I figured the normal one would be fine for a 7-1/4 inch wrist but it only fits on the last two holes, and it is still tight on those. So the strap was not very comfortable to me, but the watch head felt fine. Subdial legibility is a bit less for me than the Speedmasters, but still useable. For me this is probably as small as I could go on a chronograph.

It's a nice watch, and so far I think it was well worth the purchase price.
