The modern chronomasters are great and few of the revivals of vintage models thats actually turned out sucessfully.

But hard to beat the old ones anyways, got to love that character an worn vintage piece brings 😀

I picked up a sailcloth strap from WatchGecko for my CASD reissue and really like how it wears with the watch. Much better than the tropic that came on the watch imo.

I look forward to the Antarctic reissue, but I won't purchase it because the case angles seem soft in their renders.

Not quite- devil is in the details

besides the differences in the hands and markers, the “Newman Daytona” is about the Singer font

And the one on eBay is just a regular font

People attribute that font to just Rolex- but it was a Singer thing, I’ve seen a few chrono’s with it....very few

Bumping this old thread without shame as that Singer dial article is a great read.

Here is my Chronomaster from 1965, powered by a Valjoux 92 movement. I love the way the bezel faded out.

3 models are going to be available with interchangeable bezel kits, which is a cool idea, but I'd be worried that if the bezels are easy enough to change without tools, they'd be equally easy to lose while out and about.

If you mean the new interchangeable bezel, not yet that I know of.

If you mean the MTO customization- @SC1 pretty much put that in their heads as he custom ordered 3 or 4 different variations prior to them offering them publicly.
