Thank you dsio, where in terms of investment in rolex is there the most possible potential?

Tough call really, Redsubs IMO are overpriced, DRSDs are getting to the point where the fakes are so good its almost impossible to tell real from not, and Daytonas are way overpriced in every version. The 1016, in excellent condition, in an early model is probably the most overlooked, mainly because its a smaller case.

NICE VINTAGE GENTS ROLEX EXPLORER 1016 AUTOMATIC WRISTWATCH c.1961

As a lover of '60's and early '70's Rolexes I would say go for condition every time - there are plenty of really nice ones out there if you look hard enough.
I'm with the guys who suggested a late '60's 1675 GMT - these seem well priced at the moment compared to Subs which just seem to be going up all the time.
The 1016 Explorer 1 is a great choice and I completely agree with Ashley there - just expect to pay fairly heavily for a really nice one compared to a GMT or 5513.
