Models change. Sometimes it has nothing to do with them being bad.

future collectors watch, since it hasent been out for long?
Maybe, but there are probably more likely candidates.

The best thing is to buy it because you like it and it looks good on you. Trying to second guess the future market is only marginally better than trying to read tea leaves. If you treat the watch as pure expenditure with no expectation of future return then you'll stay happy with your decision.

You are right about that, Now that i cant find it i want it even more. How is this model of the speedmaster accepted in the speedmaster "community" since its not the real moonwatch?

The only Speedmaster that is sure to be a collector's item in future years is the same model that has been one for the last 50.

That's the classic Speedmaster handwound cal. 1861.

Anything else, and you're gambling.

You can still find the model you are after through some of the grey market dealers, eg authenticwatches.com

How about 8500 v. 2500 movement? How significant is that from the standpoint of reliability and accuracy? If you're not measuring subatomic particles, will the 2500 coaxial do?
