    Hi all!
I have the opportunity to buy this unusual little thing.
Everything looks original, but I havent seen this set up before (Blue markers and hands).
I have not found much when using my best friend either (Google).
Do any of you know the story behind this? Is it a rare piece or just something I should pass on?
Its offered to my at about $450. The watch will get a full service and new crystal before and its included in the price.
    I think its a 166.041.
The only pictures I got is these, but I will get more as soon as its back from service.
    I trust the seller btw.

Why did they use painter's tape on the hands and markers? ( :p )

Here’s my dad’s one... think it was just one of the many Geneve model options available.

I've seen these before, believe they also came in red and possibly green.

    Isn't a crystal + service worth about $450 ?
Either you get the watch for free, or you will get a dodgy crystal & service.

Crystal is about 30 quid and a service around £150. If the dealer has in house servicing, obviously the cost to them is much less but I get what you're saying. On a watch at this price point, it's possible you won't be getting a 'full' service with the sale.

I think it looks good. Never seen one before. I’d buy it if someone offered it to me at that price.

The reference you have is probably incorrect as it is a manual wind movement. It could be 135.041 but I will let you look it up.
I think it looks quite cool and the 601 is a very dependable movement. If it includes a proper service and a new crystal then I would go for it.

It is quite a small watch by today's standards. it is only 34mm.

The seconds hand doesn't look original so you may want to ask the seller to source a correct one

You are of course right. Its a "light" service :)
