A few updates and new things we're testing at the moment:
- Automatic limits for posts and bumps in Private Watch Sales forum with an indicator showing how long until a new bump/post can be made.

  • Behind the scenes we've added new structured data so sites like Watch Recon and Watch Patrol (and Google) can crawl and display sales items from our members more easily. Hopefully Google will display your sales items better now too.
  • Currently testing AI-based real time content moderation for public posts. We're primarily using this to catch spam...

I’ve emailed Sammy from WatchRecon and messaged him via Facebook but he must be busy at the moment, if anyone has a better contact for him they could PM me that would be sweet, WatchPatrol is back working though along with some of the smaller ones.

There's a lot of pages in this thread now so tbh I haven't read through them all to see if this problem is tackled:

When posting on my Android Samsung I can't use any of the tool bar function ( bold, italics, underline, emojis, etc )

Do you know what model of Samsung phone it is, which browser and if possible which version of Android it is running? We had something similar previously that was due to a phone that was quite out of date OS wise and it came good after an update

I don’t know the official name/mode of it, but are you in this mode associated with the brackets?

I have found when I am in that mode, the bold, italics, underline, and other features are disengaged (greyed out) as shown in my photo above. As opposed to when I’m not in that mode, those features are enabled as shown in the photo below.

Seems to work for me. 😜

Samsung Note10+, Android 12, DuckDuckGo mobile browser.

Uploading pictures with "attach files" sometimes doesn't work, no little preview with "insert" appears, just a grey box. Using the bar under the text box does work.

When I uploaded multiple PNG the second would not load. I deleted it an added it a a jpg

failed also attempting to upload png screendshot to this thread

It seems once the image has failed to load it continues to be rejected

This time it took the png after I deleted it and did another screenshot, which is also png.

This should be resolved now. Let us know if it's still causing problems on random files please. We noticed that progressive JPEG's were an issue and maybe others too.

Edit: maybe not all fixed. Seeing issues with specific images on Safari still. Chrome was fine.

Ash seems to have sorted this on the Cloudflare side. Some new security measures were causing issues with Safari.

Does this limiter apply across all of a members listings, if they have multiple? Or just on the one they are bumping? Neat feature regardless!
I commented on a sales post this morning, not mine. Now when I look at any sales post I get the message with a time when I can post when the twenty four hours is up.
It appears a message on any sales post will prevent you from listing a sale of you own for twenty four hours?

Thanks, we're aware of this one but the fix ended up not being straight forward. Still working on it 🫠

Last I heard was that dsio had tried contacting them multiple times, including through other people and hasn't heard anything back from the owner. Frustrating.

Just letting you know that I'm having trouble uploading and attaching photos to my posts. I keep getting an error message saying "Oops! Something went wrong". I'm on a Google Pixel 8 running Android 14. Thanks and keep up the great work!
