Thanksgiving holiday in the US, are the Omega Boutiques even open? I've always been too busy on Thanksgiving to have noticed... 😗
US Boutiques will be closed on Thursday but will be blowin' and goin' first thing Friday morning.

Sounds like it will be another 'unnumbered release'. Hopefully it won't be as difficult to source as a Snoopy or Ed White 321.

I wonder if this is why my local AD has invited some people to a champagne event on Thursday evening (UK time). I assumed it was to showcase the new Tudor range, but I’m starting to like the coincidence with the timings mentioned in this thread!

I am very surprised they triggered this during Thanksgiving in the US. It just feels like they are giving away some buzz - but then again, I don’t think I’ll ever second guess the company that launched the moonswatch on their marketing hype strategy!

Thanksgiving US is a strange release time indeed.

Strange too is the wave pattern on the box - it seems they're evoking the GoldenEye watch. But how different could they do something like that, from the current blue 300M?

Maybe a faded aluminum bezel and fauxtina?

I am sooo curious! A 300 heritage with the old wave pattern on the dial would sing! A current special edition NTTD but with an old blue wave and white lume would send me running to the boutique as well….

November 24th 1995 was the UK release date of Goldeneye, thats likely why that date was chosen.

Its likely some type of callback to the 2531.80, so as stated above, the NTTD in blue, with old wave pattern and white lume, which would be amazing, and an immediate buy for me.

no matter what it is, this is the most excited ive been for a new watch release in a while.

As long as it doesn’t have the half-AR-coated crystal of the NTTD I could be interested…

Sorry for saying this, I don't mean to be rude, but... do you really find it's strange that a Swiss company presents a model inspired by a British hero loved all over the world, on a date that is a public holiday only for the USA and not for Switzerland, the UK or the rest of the world ?

Y'know - I'm excited about this, too. And I'm not 100% sure why? Maybe because I'm assuming this will be obtainable without a super human effort - or maybe because it sort of snuck up on us ( although we kinda figured...). But I think you're right about the Goldeneye release date and this is being released to remind us of the very-underrated Brosnan Bond - so it just feels..."fun". Here's hoping it is one of the seamasters......

Yes, when the US is one of their largest individual markets….???

Before you continue arguing against the US as an important sales market, let's remember that the US alone accounts for about 2/3rds of the sales of all of Europe. So, let's imagine then, that there were a holiday in 2 out of 3 countries in Europe - or for the sake of sales volume let's just say that on this day the UK, Germany, France, Spain, and Italy were all essentially shut down. Stores, restaurants, everything - even more so than Christmas (which is absolutely the case on Thanksgiving Day in the US).
Let's say then that Omega decides to drop a huge release on this day that basically no-one is shopping either in person or online; no-one is even answering the phone at the Boutiques in all of the UK, Germany, France, Spain and Italy. Wouldn't you find that strange?

I suspect you would
