Thanks for sharing this. It’s a great example of how to get more clicks, with a dramatic title and a strong opinion, too. The commentary is expected, pushing people into one corner or another. YouTube is all about creating divisions, even here.

It’s just a watch. I’m planning to get one. I could also skip it. Both options are okay.

Yeah, feel very much the same way.

Having now heard from my AD that this will be a trickle-out proposition with a list a la Snoopy I'm not going to bother unless I happen upon one for sale.

I'm done with waiting lists and deposits. Never again.

Which looks better

Honestly, it took me a few seconds to realize what the difference was.

The HEV doesnt bother me nearly as much as the skeleton hands.

I wasn’t sure about the HEV when I got my Seamaster, but just looked great from day 1. Didn’t think I noticed it until I recently bought an Aquaracer and couldn’t work out what looked weird about it. Turns out the missing HEV on the Aquaracer bothers me more than it being there on the Seamaster.

As for the skeleton hands, anyone telling you the time is difficult to read clearly doesn’t wear a Seamaster. It’s a non starter tbh.

The issue is ugliness, not legibility.

Just tried it on. I don’t like it. It’s too big. The NTTD fits better and doesn’t look as big!

There are a number lists referring to legibility on these hands too.

Is it actually bigger (thicker) or just visually bigger?

1.1mm difference in thickness allegedly. Other dimensions the same.

Can you say more about fit, given the NTTD is very similar in size? What's your wrist size? Thanks!

Interesting. Case and bracelet should have the same dimensions as the NTTD. Except the 60yrs is listed as 14.3mm in thickness, my own NTTD's thickness measures 12.9mm.

What did you think of the animation in person? The caseback is the coolest feature of this watch for me. But the tradeoff is the added thickness.

If I had to be perfectly honest, one needs to try it before buying it. In your hand its gorgeous, on your wrist, not so much. It's very blingy, and not subtle like the NTTD. I also didn't like the polished look of it. I guess once you wear the NTTD, you get used to it being hidden. The strap was also too bright.

The back was lovely, a novelty, but I'm not sure its worth the hype. The lollipop hand was excellent. The number 60 on the bezel was a nice touch. The waves upfront in person look okay. Overall I am not convinced.

That case back delivers a Happy Meal free toy experience.

Just why.

At least we can't say Omega doesn't try new things.

Being hidden
I prefer that.

A under the Radar luxury watch. Yeah… nice

Exactly! It felt very 'OMG I'm wearing a blingy watch on my wrist, look at me!' The NTTD does the opposite... actually made me appreciate the NTTD even more!! Perhaps I'll save the money and go for a Spectre 300 - the one that got away

I prefer low profile, under the radar. Don’t need anyone making assumptions about my financial situation or abilities.

What Omega did with this release has me drooling thinking about a re-release of the 2254.50 with this mesh bracelet. Triangle at 12, trapezoid lume markers, classic black wave dial and sword hands... Omega can take my money if they make it!

The NTTD looks more bond-ish in my opinion. Like if bond actually wore a watch it wouldn’t be as flashy, hence the NTTD
