Hi all

picked mine up last night in London. Here are a few photos. My wife has now taken (Wrestled) it off me until my birthday next week. Really love it.

Woooow!!!! Looks so good with the Nato! I got mine with mesh—loving it! One question about the package:
Could you share the pic of your presentation package please? I got mine with a simple black box without any special presentation box or tools. In the WatchAdvisor video you can see a very special presentation box; did you get that? Here are the two (first mine, second WA):

Love the nato strap colour , realy hoping to get one foc, when I collect mine from my dealer

They told me at the OB, that they don’t have extra Straps at the Moment. And they will cost more than the normal ones -> 300,- EUR instead of 150,- EUR.

I got a military green NATO for mine:

Same simple Box for me. In the Video they mentioned, that this Box is only for the Event and not the actual Box.

Okay, I missed that! Thanks for verifying—I am used to that Omega puts a lot of effort into these presentation boxes and this one was so simple. When I saw the video I was very amazed.. thanks again!!!

You guys are bad people. So tempting to get this watch.

I only wanted one of each (SMP/Divers, AT, PO and SM300).

I already have an SMP/Divers. So opening only for AT (hopefully filled soon with the Skyfall Blue), PO (not yet decided which one) and SM300 (maybe the Spectre, but no rush).

But this thread making me drool with envy. Argh.

Simple box for me as well. Although they threw in an omega pen as it was my birthday.

More Strap Options:

Leather Nato Sand

Heuerville Strap Mid Tan Oiled

Ah, that was what I was missing today...natural lighting and a leather strap. Had the chance to see both the mesh and NATO versions side-by-side this afternoon.

First impression was a lot of brown, probably due to the artificial lighting, followed by the lightness of the mesh version.

The bracelet has been executed beautifully, well the whole ensemble has in fact.

The deployant clasp is rather long in this configuration creating a rather odd sensation on the wrist.

Folks with bigger wrists will get a better experience as it will sit better. Nonetheless it is very comfortable due to the lack of total weight.

How does it compare to an equivalent full Ti Omega diver?

Somewhat calmer due to the brushed rather than polished surfaces and warmer colors.

so, did I buy one? No. I still like my Railmaster.

Maybe I’m not feeling well (turned down the Apollo 11 Speedy last Saturday, now 2 Bond Ti Seamasters).

Anyway, if these “click” with you I’m sure you will love them.

I made an enquiry with my local AD (Melbourne) in December relating to these options; they contacted Head Office and were advised that the NATO is exclusive to this model and cannot be purchased separately at this time, but it may be added to their NATO line at a later date. They further noted that the bracelet is likely to be available for separate purchase in the future.
it's not like there is a shortage of Nato's of mesh bracelets in the market. Some of them of extraordinary quality.

I suspect once the initial excitement passes we are going to get a lot of negative commentary about the way the mesh bracelet sits on the back. TO have a mesh bracelet overlap like that seems like a mistake to me.

If it does overlap I would have chosen the extra band to be ion the outside as on a normal bracelet. OtherwiseI would have it so it can be adjusted or sized at the deployment so there is no extra material.

I do love the dome crystal effect though.

Great pictures😀 how do you compare the color of the lume to railmaster? I ah e a Seamaster 300 trilogy. Would be nice for a short feedback. Is it brighter or does it have the same coloring?

if my dealer can't source the nato , I was considering the beige nato . But I do like the nato leather sand nice pics .

The hour lume plots looked fairly similar on both watches under Boutique lighting with the SM 300M slightly lighter if anything.

Now that I’ve had a few hours to reflect on my brief encounter with the Bond SM I feel that Omega went a step too far by using the deployant clasp. It’s functional but not really in keeping with the rest of the design, rather like a trailer hitch on a 911. The clasp could have been much slicker and lower profile, like this:-

That aside, the overall impression was sort of magical, looking very robust, yet weighing surprisingly little. The image that popped into my head as I was turning the mesh SM over in my hand was of Frodo’s Mithril vest.

The domed crystal is a little flatter on the SM300M than on the Railmaster and to me looked like an ideal contender for a sapphire Speedy crystal; nicely replicating the hesalite look without the milky rings or boxy appearance of current Speedy sapphire crystals.

My final thought was that this Ti case would make a great base for a future GMT model, assuming Omega can keep the overall thickness down.

Great photos and observations. Certainly hope that the domed crystal is used in the new Speedy Pro.

Love the Mithril refence, I suppose it could be useful for protection against a nasty stab from the occasional OF Troll😁
