2226.80 Bond micro-adjust clasp + bezel swap, need input

Hey all, I own a 2226.80 (Tomorrow Never Dies James Bond edition) and I'm planning two mods while keeping everything as close to factory-original as possible. Laid out my research below, hoping some of you who've done similar work can sanity-check me before I spend money.

WHY

Love the watch, don't want to change the look. Two things bug me daily though: the pin-and-collar bracelet is a pain to resize, and the stock clasp has zero on-the-fly adjustment. I live somewhere with big daily temp swings (Texas heat to cold AC), so my wrist size shifts and the fixed clasp never fits quite right in both.

PART 1: CLASP CONVERSION

Planning the standard full clasp swap. Parts I've identified:

• 117STZ003191 x1: "007 Spectre" adjustable steel clasp, no TM under the 007
• 118ST1515 x2: End links to mate the clasp to my Bond bracelet, screw-mounted
• 124ST3307 x4: End-link screws

I've seen some threads reference 118ST1589 instead of 118ST1515 for older friction-pin bracelets. Planning to check my bracelet's stamped reference on the underside, but if anyone knows offhand which end link is correct for a stock Bond bracelet on a 2226.80, that'd save me a headache.

PART 2: FULL BEZEL REPLACEMENT

Want the whole assembly replaced, not just the insert, to avoid press-fit insert risk (cracking without the right tooling). Full assembly is low-risk since it's a spring-loaded click-on unit, not adhesive.

- 082SU1751 x1: Complete bezel assembly, appears correct for 2220.80/2226.80

I've seen a lot of threads confuse this with 082SU1361, which is actually correct for the 2531.80/2220.80/2541.80/2221.80 family rather than mine specifically. Can anyone confirm 082SU1751 is right for a 2226.80 blue dial?

QUESTIONS

1. Realistic single-visit AD job, or is there a compatibility gotcha I'm missing? Mainly want the 118ST1515 vs 118ST1589 question settled.

2. Rough all-in cost estimate doing this properly, genuine parts plus pro install labor?

3. Where's everyone actually sourcing the 117STZ003191? I understand Omega/Danjaq restricts the 007-branded clasp to owners of the specific 007 editions it shipped on, which I am (however for a different ref), but enforcement seems inconsistent store to store. Anyone gotten this through an AD without already owning a Spectre reference, or is everyone going through third-party genuine/NOS sellers instead?

4. Oddball question I haven't seen addressed anywhere: has anyone tried transplanting the Bond-branded cover plate off an original clasp onto a standard adjustable clasp body? Idea being full 007/Seamaster branding with the micro-adjust internals from something like a 117STZ001154. No writeups found anywhere, so genuinely unsure if it's mechanically a non-starter (riveted construction, mismatched mounting geometry) or just untried. If anyone's opened up both clasp types, would love your take.

Trying to keep this as close to OEM spec as possible while fixing what actually bugs me day to day. Appreciate any part number corrections, cost reality checks, or war stories from anyone who's done this on a Bond bracelet.

NOTE - I would love to do these modifications myself. Have some minor experience with watch modifications but never on a watch of this caliber. The band seems simple enough, ive resized pin and collar bands on seikos before (begrudgingly) but I haven't researched the bezel replacement enough.

The bezel will be the standard assembly for the 2220.80 (which is also compatible with the 2531.80 and the 2541.80). I wouldn't worry about the part number because you're going to need to order through an Omega Service Center or an independent watchmaker with an Omega parts account. They will need to look it up themselves to order it. Cost is around $330 right now. Omega only sells the entire assembly (which includes the click spring, frame, and insert). AD's won't order this unless they have a watchmaker on site.

Some other thoughts:

- In the past I've been able to order bracelet parts through an AD and they've been able to give them to me. The bezel though would have to be installed by an Omega trained watchmaker. That they will not just give to you.

- I have no idea if they will order you the 007 clasp if you don't have that model. I have no idea if the ones floating out there are real or fake.

- I doubt any of the clasp covers are swappable unless everything is the same exact size and dimension.

- The last time I ordered a clasp (a couple of years ago) the cost was around $250 plus $60 for the side links. This was the Heritage 300 adjustable clasp. I didn't pay for installation as I was able to do it myself. Bracelets, unlike a bezel assembly, they will give you without requiring installation.

- The 118ST1589 links are for the Speedmaster type bracelet. That's not what you want if you want to connect to the Bond bracelet.


BTW and FWIW - Your watch was sold when Casino Royale came out, rather than Tomorrow Never Dies.

Also, beautiful watch. I've never owned that special edition model but I've owned the 2531.80, 2541.80, and 2220.80. And if you need to locate an independent watchmaker with an Omega parts account shoot me a DM. I have one local I have used many times and he's excellent. I can see if the 007 bracelet you want is orderable.
