New Alligator strap required

I Have a OMEGASpeedmaster Moonwatch Professional 42mm Mens Watch. Currently has a stainless steel strap. New one for Christmas had conflicting advice on size of strap required along with deployment clasp

032CUZ007467 ( 20mm Black Alligator strap) 9452.18.93 ( Folding clasp)

Is this correct

When I bought the alligator strap from the Omega Boutique, they put the 9452.18.83 clasp on it.

That is the polished version if I'm correct, the 1893 is the satin version

Mine has a brushed center and polished sides. The OB didn't mention other alternatives when I asked for the strap and deployant.

The 1893 seems to be fully brushed which would be similar to the bracelet on the hesalite. But OP needs to decide what he prefers.

There is no alligator strap listed for this case, so that's why you are getting conflicting information.

The only strap listed is a fabric strap:

032CWZ014117

And deployant:

025STZ007387

So there is no "correct" alligator strap for this, so whatever works is the right answer.

I'm not impressed with the Omega straps, you can do better getting one made to work with the Omega deployant clasp, and at better prices. Genteel Handmade and Aaron Bespoke are two I've worked with. Lots of different material, stitching and lining options so you can get exactly what you want. The Omega straps are just too staid and plain, imo.

From memory the catalogue lists one particular deployant with a bigger opening to accommodate the thicker fabric strap which comes on the previous Silver Snoopy.
The croc leather strap is thinner so you will probably need to watch out for that.
The deployant that came with my Silver Snoopy strap is stamped 94521883.

There is also the decision on if you want it to taper to 18mm or 16mm. Both have come on previous versions of the moonwatch over the years.

I have the last generation Speedmaster (1861) and have both an alligator from Genteel (really love) and a Silver
Snoopy. I wear both on the
94521883.
It's has a 2.7mm opening as opposed to the 2.5mm. I do not notice any extra play when wearing the alligator. I think if you are going to wear both styles, get the one with the larger opening.

To summarise above and put my own 2 cents - there is no "correct" one. Deployant clasps at Omega are available at 16 & 18mm, both will work with any strap that has proper ending on the clasp side (not standard) and proper lug width at the case. Rest depends on what you prefer - small taper (then take 18mm) or bigger taper (than take 16mm), polished or fully brushed surface on deployant (that mostly depends on character of watch case).

For the new Moonwatch Sapphire I chose 16mm deployant (to reflect big taper on original bracelet) with polished surfaces and bought tailor made alligator strap, which is cheaper & better than Omega.

I'll just add that there more options with the 18mm clasp as more straps taper 20 to 18 vs 20 to 16. If you go with the 16mm clasp, you'll more likely need to do custom straps.
