Not too long ago, we had a famous member who bought a lot of gold constellations then he tried to sell them again here.
Don't know if there is any relation?

Thanks to all of you for the advice. I managed to get the watch at what I think is a decent and fair price. I should get it in about a week. . Again, thanks for all the advice, and if you ever happen to run into me, please ask me what time it is. I can assure you this won't be going into any box. Life is very short and very precious, and this bad boy is going to make every minute just a little bit better, one second at a time. this will have to suffice until then.

Watch arrived today and I could not be happier, and it fits just about perfectly. I guess that's a wrap, I am no longer looking for a watch.

I know this thread is a year old, but I want to congratulate you, in case you did buy this Omega 18k Grand Luxe, a phantastic piece of watch history and wear it proudly!
The price is fair, all seems to be original and most important, the bracelet is not too streched and fits your wrist.
And I dont care about resale prices, gold is forever, fashion may vary and who knows what my grandchildren will like.
And to those arguing of too much blingbling, my throat doctor wears a Rolex Daytona, a steel toolwatch for 4-times the price and does not feel obscene while handling my nose.
Have a nice day Konrad

Hi, A very nice Grand Luxe Omega 2939C from 1956 if I'm not wrong from your serial numbers. I have had that model earlier but without golden bracelet. Today I'm owner of a ref 14365 , cal 505 also with hooded lugs from 1956. The same dial, hands, crown, case back(inside 121.622, yours 2930sc), bracelet, all looks like yours. But I'm not sure whats the difference between De Luxe and Grand Luxe. The seller told me I have De Luxe and you write Grand Luxe for that watch? Is there any differences inside or outside? Many many answers but I have not get a really detail answer for that. Yes I have no really told you answer of the value of the 2930c but included a golden bracelet it would cost between 9000 USD or more. The gold price has also increases a lot the last 3 years. I'm not an expert but the best choice is to follow the market prise at all platforms. It's not easy today to find that watch with golden bracelet but if you had to pay. Best regards Paul

@2930-505Swede "But I'm not sure whats the difference between De Luxe and Grand Luxe."
DeLuxe indicates a 18kt dial, Grand Luxe additionally a case with these special lugs.
All Grand Luxe I saw in Omega publications had a golden bracelet.
As Grand Luxe watches often apear with leather straps, maybe the bracelet was melted (a shame)??

OMG, that is gorgeous. 😎

Price is going to be based on gold. Scale shows 123 grams, I would figure about 30 grams of that would relate to the movement and crystal which are not gold.

So let’s say 90 grams of gold. Current price is US$61 per gram X 75% (18K) X 90 = $4,100 or so. Add something for rarity, box with some of the paperwork and the value of movement.

Hope this helps,

i got my eye on this watch, and i am no exert and don't want to make a big mistake.

any advice, and what a fair price would be, would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

Hi, Fantastic watch. Very difficult to get one today with golden bracelet. Today you have to pay a lot of money at least 10-11K EUR. Im also owner of that kind of Omega but with ref 14365 with all same data and functions and appearance as yours and my is from 1956. But you have a Grand luxe and I have De Luxe. Im interested if you can tell differences between Grand Luxe vs De Luxe? Breg Paul/Sweden
