You gotta think that with both Fratello and Hodinkee doing recent retrospectives that’s a sign somethings coming
Idk if Fratello is based in NYC but Hodinkee seems to be. I'd expect them to be part of one of these special events.
The Fratello article on the spirate system had me raising an eyebrow but in the same article they said they didn't know when Omega was expanding that to more watches :\
Better not be some new Planet Ocean Chrono with a spirate system that's going to be 45.5mm and 17mm thick. No one wants a giant watch like that.
My guess is the same as Fratello's guess, the Dark and Grey Side speedies will probably be the first to get spirate because those aren't even METAS certified yet. Those are also pretty big though lol so you may be outta luck. I personally have like 4-5 watches at/around/above 45.5x17 lol but I realize thats not a great size for a lot of people.
I'm not really interested in the whole sprite system.. I would rather have an improved generation of the Planet Ocean and SMP300m, and a nice Special of the Speedmaster Moonwatch. It's quite boring with Omega the last 2 years.
Am really afraid disappointment will be as high as waiting frustration on those novelties announcement…
Well damn... I was far too excited to meet him in person to notice his wrist. Heard no mention or teasers of a watch that night either (last friday), but I did miss most of the pre-dinner socializing.
The most exciting new release is upon us! A white speedy! Expect a slew of others including updates to the 44.25mm speedy range.
Not a fan... makes the Canopus 3861 less special. Looks identical except for the red speedmaster text
