I remember hearing in March that Omega would be doing another round of new watch releases in the Fall of 2022. Can anyone confirm this?

Thank you!

Not sure about the models, but according to my AD, Omega would do another round of price increase this September... 🤔
At least here in Germany.

Wow. Speedmaster prices have gone through the roof. I bought my FOIS two years ago from ad for 3600 €... it is officially almost double now although the techonology has improved sure.

5% or 8% increase to the sapphire Speedy, makes that close to a £7k watch in the UK. With slim pickings on discount. Getting very expensive

So far the US has been spared increases but I wonder how long that will last with most markets getting them.

Well with the dollar strengthening quite a bit the past few months, I think this spared the US. I know Cartier lowered US prices recently on various models compared to European prices. I know the Tank LC manual wind, Tank Americain in steel, and Tank Cintree all had an MSRP price drop in the US.

If the whole world comes to acceptance of this, they'll raise the US prices for some easy money.

CHF/USD is relatively stable, CHF/EUR not. As the Swatch Group is listed on the Swiss Stock Market and they report in CHF, the price increases might be caused due to devaluation of the currency vs the Swiss Franc.

But you’ve already seen the new upcoming model?
Nothing to see...just info passed to me. But more is coming...the question is when...

Of course currency rates play a major part, but we are now in an inflation environment with labor, materials, energy, shipping all going up. Manufacturers can try to hold off on price increases, and eat the extra costs, but eventually they will have to raise prices. In the inflation ridden 70's and early 80's watch prices went up two or three times a year. We aren't at that point yet.

That already sounds very promising. In which area do we have to search? Divers, dress or moon?

Apollo 17 50th anniversary Speedy is one obvious option. Speedy Tuesday 10th anniversary is another.
