I have bought and serviced several vintage Heuer's, GP's & Omegas. This would be my first Foray into the rolex world. Wondered what you're thoughts were on this particular model:

Rolex Oyster Date (Roulette)
6466

A lot of cosmetic work for me to do but nothing i havent tackled before and a very low cost of entry to the rolex world.

Would love to hear your thoughts & concerns regarding this model.

Kind Regards,

Johnny

I would not take that watch as a gift. It's in terrible condition and probably 30mm. Please don't waste your money.

Don’t settle for just anything - for the sake of entering the Rolex world.

that condition is cheap for a reason.

I often try to find a Project as i enjoy learning the process and the nuance of each piece. Perhaps i shall look a little further.

I say this to a lot of newbs. A crap watch is a crap watch. Even if it’s “within your budget” , it’s still a crap watch. You may as well set money ablaze. Do your homework and budget for quality.
