You could make several nice straps from that vintage neck!
@Duracuir1 is doing some real nice work with old skins.

I can assure you that is the best view, you certainly don't want to see the state of the face 馃槈

It鈥檚 been uplifting hearing your stories, coming as they do from around the globe. My tuppence worth, in no particular order:

+
1. Spending more time with the wife. She and I are both WFH and luckily have space to do so without annoying each other. Not a single argument so far throughout all of this.
2. Having a (small) garden has helped no end.
3. Delivery and mail order have been brilliant, easy and plentiful.
4. As others have said, spending less. Which means I鈥檓 hoping to start saving for a Speedy...
5. London has never been quieter nor the air so clean.
6. Grateful to still be in work.
7. We waste virtually no food now. And have never eaten more healthily.
8. I've spent even more time on this forum, and I鈥檓 grateful for the virtual company through all of this.

-
1. Teaching remotely is way harder than in real life.
2. As a music teacher with a vibrant department, I miss the concerts, my orchestra, my choir, the chamber music. Stitching together multi-tracked remote recordings is not the same, and it鈥檚 incredibly time consuming!
3. Not seeing friends and family, of course.
4. Not going to my local pub, coffee shops, restaurants - though amazed at how creatively we have been able to recreate those at home...

It鈥檚 the kind of situation that makes one reflect, take stock and see where the adjustments have improved as well as caused frustrations, I guess.

Apart from some silver ( I prefer silver to grey) my hair is starting to look as it did fifty odd years ago and to be honest it probably wasn't a great look even then so desperate measures resulted in this purchase,

Daughters are now clamouring to be the first to give me the old short back and sides which is a bit of a worry but better than the braids they were hoping for 馃う

Anyone else wan't to share ?

A family member caught C19 and died so to be honest there is nothing that particularly irritates me about the lockdown. Our relatives went through a world war so I'm sure we can get through a few weeks shut at home. Whatever we are going through it could be worse. Be grateful for what one has and look for the positives.

Seems like forever ago when this thread started and by then we were already though a month and a half of quarantine.

When lockdown started in mid March, the building I work in had already experienced a presumptive positive case. When we started lockdown, we were told that we were essential and still had to come into work. I thought "With one case coming in through community spread, we are sitting ducks" and was very worried that we'd all get it. I kept close watch on the statistics and began some lockdown practices before they were required, including masks. I remember being one of the only people in the grocery store wearing a mask and my wife having to explain that I was responsible for the well-being of the few hundred I work with by not exposing myself. Odd stares and all; seems like eons ago.

So here we are, starting to open back up. In the Bay Area we were one of the first places to lock down and officials have been very careful about opening up. I hear we are going to stage two on Friday. Santa Clara County has had about 2,800 cases with 143 deaths in a population of over 2 million. The population is mostly educated and believes in science so it wasn't hard for people to respect the changes required; you don't see anyone demonstrating their first and second amendment rights over it like in some states.

The result is that I am much more comfortable with the situation; I think we will survive for the most part, though I do feel sorry for anyone who's lost a friend or family member because of it. We actually did lose an inlaw during the time due to an aneurysm that could have been caused by an infection but he wasn't tested to our knowledge.

I have no where near the concern that I had three months ago, but we'll see how well relieving lockdown works in a week or so (two weeks out from Memorial Day).

BTW, many of the new practices contributed, but in my mind masks are the game changer. Get used to them.
