Mileage is huge. The 800 mile car barely cracked 90k during the car market peak. There was multiple factors here - the mileage being the fourth closest to "delivery" to hit market in the evo community in the last decade. For sale buy original buying owner - this car would have stopped most likely around 115 if for sale by flipper/dealer - and CA car - preserved the underside and engine bits which usually get oxidized perfect.

Good lord.
BAT always full of surprises.
They are thinking it’s money laundering or someone has a few of these tucked away and they bid this one up.

Not money laundering, the seller and I have a mutual friend. Think about it - the guy buys his (third new evo 8/9) holds it for 19 years knowing it 5x in value, and decides to the countries third biggest classic car auction website to launder money...Ppl crying laundering are complete jackasses. 3 of these where discovered in CA in 2017 with delivery mileage at a mitsu dealer, never sold. One sold for $110k, one 100, the other which was a non MR 85k

Here's my '22. Installing a European brake light, foot well lighting, amber behind grill light bar, and pulling the dash apart to pull the wire on the seat-belt alarm speaker. It gradually get very loud and goes off even when parked. Very annoying.
Post where you find that seatbelt wire, I totally agree with you.

You’re kinda hitting the point 50% jump in less then a year with plenty of other low mile cars for way less. It’s not normal.

It is not a wire. There is a speaker behind the instrument cluster (Speedo). You have to tear the entire dash apart to get to it and pull the wire. It was worth the work. Now instead of the screaming dings, the stereo gets quiet. Keep in mind that doing this will disable all warning alarms. You can find a step by step on YouTube
