Jones in LA
··Not in LA anymore.Omega recently dropped a fun little video in which various Omega spokes-folk (referred to as Omega's "friends") are tasked with telling the Apollo 13/Speedmaster/Silver Snoopy story in fourteen seconds. It's an opportunity for the most professional of the Professionals to really shine:
Here's my summary of how they did, with their time to tell the story in (minutes and) seconds, measured by a Speedmaster, of course.
George Clooney: 0:14
Kaia Gerber: 0:12 (plus a six-second preamble)
Charlie Duke: 0:14+5/6
Cindy Crawford (Kaia's Mum): 0:14
Chase Stokes (actor from Netflix teen drama series Outer Banks): 0:50, includes use of the terms "weapon of choice" and "afterburners" to tell the story.
Naomie Harris (aka Moneypenny from James Bond films): 0:25 + a short preamble
Antoni Porowski (popular Canadian television personality): 0:14+5/6
Nicole Stott (engineer, retired NASA astronaut): 0:24
Glen Powell (aka Hangman from Top Gun Maverick): 0:12
So-Hee Han (popular Korean actress and model): 1:11 -- maybe the story doesn't translate well in the Korean language?
Nicole Kidman (the longest-standing among this list of spokes-folk): 1:00 -- I reckon she's earned the right to tell the story any way she wants.
