I couldn't resist...

I found this box in a local marketplace.
After a short research, of course here in the forum, I would declare the box as rare and I don't want to withhold it from you and our database.

One result of my research can be read here, obviously the box is perfectly suited to exchange the inlay . The outer box is from a Quartz watch, the inner is like mine from a Moonwatch.

No contribution without question to you
The seller said that this box belonged to a Speedmaster he bought in the early 1980s. If I would take all contributions on the internet as a basis, there are also watches from the beginning to the end of the 1970s which were photographed in combination with this or a similar box.

I would say that this box is from the beginning of the 1970s, because that's when the quartz crisis starts !

What do you think is a realistic dating ?

I had this 18K Constellation full set until some years ago. The watch serial dated it to 1972, with sale docket 1978. It was as close to unworn condition as you could hope to find. Selling it was not one of my smarter decisions.

I'll bet that would have been an AD's display case box. I think it's really cool 😀

My collection.
(But unfortunately I don't have all the Speedies which fit these boxes...)
