Overall a very nice vintage Speedmaster professional in good working order. The watch has a nice patina and the case has very sharp edges. All functions work properly and the watch comes with original bracelet, box and booklets. Sold to me by another forum member known for his rare collections (pictures borrowed from him with his permission). Price: $6,000 Dial and hands: Excellent condition original dial with matching aged lume on hands and dial. Case: Case is unpolished and shows some signs of age. Overall very good condition for the age of the watch. Crystal is original signed omega crystal and the omega insignia is still visible. Bracelet: Original signed Omega bracelet with moderate stretch. Movement: All functions work on the watch and keeps decent time. I notice it may lose a little time over the course of a week. I wear my watches a day or two at a time and I do not have to adjust it during that period. Service history is unknown. Boxes, etc.: The watch was sold to me by a fellow collector and I was told these are the original boxes and books (2002 stamped on the book is apparently a code for a country, not the year).
Thanks, I hate to let it go but I am funding other items at the moment. I have had several and this is the cleanest. I was thrown by the box as well but assured it was legit.
another picture. I forgot that the extra links were in a zales envelope with a date stamp of 11/75. That is at least appropriate date range.
