Just picked up athis Lemania 288 with I believe the cal 3600 inside.

It's in amazing condition and runs well inside cos which is amazing given the age.

Can any of the experts give an age based on the serial number.

Also I'm interested that the crown appears to be a super compressor with the hatchings, or is that not unique to them?

Also a pic of another vintage watch I picked up recently which has. Felsa 1560 inside. I'd like to know which one is the oldest!

That watch is a beauty 馃槏 Based on the style of the dial, I would date your watch to the mid/late 1950s. Lemania factory records were long ago lost to history, so the best we can do is guess at a manufacturing date. I agree that your crown has been replaced.

This thread provides an estimated manufacturing date based on movement serial numbers deduced from Omega stopwatches that used Lemania movements, as Omegas are easier to date.

Very nice catch!

I love the dial, but of course I would since I own a manual wind calibre 3060 with the same design. Mine is from 1963 by the way.
