Other than ebay, is there a place to see how much a vintage lego set would be worth?
It's an obscure hospital set from the 80s.
There's a site called Brick Economy that has most sets and their values.

Tonight: my kid really, really wanted to build the London skyline for some reason? I think all the Lego influencers on YouTube have gotten to him.
Huh, I just ordered the NYC skyline for my son's birthday in Dec. That's probably more my choice than his, but I think we have enough Star Wars items at the moment. Do you guys manage to get it back into the box and rebuild it now and then?

Usually the cycle goes:
- build the original design together
- he adds pieces to customize it
- then it gets recycled with other Legos as makes his own creations.
- I complain that now we'll never be able to rebuild his $100+ Lego set
- goes "but daddy, I thought you wanted me to practice being creative!?"

He might be smarter and/or more well-adjusted than me.

Tis the season

dinosaurs invaded our Christmas lego village when first constructed more than 20 years ago.....we have downsized and the lego has left. Looks like the Dinos have found a home though!

I said I'd update when I finished Concorde which I completed over the weekend. I have to say it's one of, if not the most, enjoyable builds I've ever done. I think it's because there's very little repetition, and the fact that I was continually trying to figure out how the landing gear was going to work as I built each section of fuselage! It's absolutely huge and, in my opinion, looks magnificent.

There's no stickers which I preferred as this model is so good I didn't want to screw it up with my terrible stickering skills. Allegedly there's only 2 bits that are specific to this model but I did find a few bits that were quite "bespoke" if that sort of thing bothers you. It didn't bother me. I think it strikes an excellent balance between "lego-ness" and realism.

Have recently found out there's now a lighting kit for it so will probably add that shortly. Now... Where exactly am I going to put the bloody thing....!

Some very impressive collections here. We also have plenty of Lego's at home (but when I see some posts in this topic, ours is kind of tiny). I was puzzling some time about the opportunity to have more flexible way to make constructions in all 3 dimensions, and at the end of the day I have designed my own construction toy system, which has only a cube and a pin to make three dimensional constructions (as the brick connects on all six sides instead of just two). It is for DIY - one can print it with 3D printer at home. There are also interface bricks to standard size LEGO.
Initially I was very excited and even considered to commercialize it, but shortly after I decide to publish it as kind of "open source" for anyone to make it by himself.
Here a short video showing few builds:

No legos for me, but I have a shite load of late 70’s and early 80’s Star Wars action figures that would love to play on all y’all’s masterpieces 😀 They are taking up needless space in my house. (And y’all have some serious talent for construction.)

We just cracked open the Lego World Map. I'll see you guys in a few weeks. Got over 10K+ pieces to figure out.

Edit: had to get serious about sorting:

And it comes with a giant brick separator:

Oh man, I remember you posted this earlier -- but I didn't pick up the size of that box. Good luck!

I’ve never seen that giant separator, interesting. That is one heck of a build. All dots. I don’t think I have the patience. Best of luck!

I've been a Lego addict since I was a child. I also made the Saturn 5 which was one of my favorite kit. I also made this year the Batmobile but I think I don't really like Lego technics.
My next one will probably be the lunar lender.

We finished the Perseverance Rover! My 6-year-old did a shocking amount of it himself.... but that also meant I had to troubleshoot some gearing issues in the 11th hour...
