I still need to finish the VW Bus I got 10 years ago!
I wonder which version is most popular on OF? I chose the turbo.

I was thinking I'd go Targa when I break it out of the box...

I don't really build Legos anymore since my kids have gotten older, but if this was a mass produced model I would save up for it.

Wondering if LEGO have a V12 or V8 engine available... Technics maybe ?
They definitely do in the Technics sets. Don’t think you can buy the parts separately though.

I saw it in person at Legoland. It’s huge indeed. I wouldn’t have anywhere to put the thing.
I've built this together with my son over a period of year or so. Great fun but a pain to store between the building. Now, where do we place it?

I believe I’ve genuinely earned my nerd credentials with this one… The Lego version of the first 21 Star Wars figures released by Kenner in the 70’s, before they move to Empire Strikes Back cardbacks 😎😜😁

Curious if any eagle eyes spot the key difference 😗

My son has been busy with some new sets. Here's a ramen shop that he finished yesterday.

We are getting to the point where my kid is cranking out his own creations...

And then challenging me to make stuff from scratch too. Here's a very off-model Starship Enterprise:

Our house is 90% Lego right now. I'll have to do some math... I think we might be spending more on Legos than on watches this year.

Darth Vader without his mask?

that’s Lego’s version of the Death Star Droid, which does kinda look like Vader without his helmet on! His Kenner equivalent is chrome plated, the one top right on the “Collect All 21” card. The biggest difference is the Snaggletooth minifig - I opted for a blue version 😎

We stopped by the Lego store and may have splurged too hard, in anticipation of potentially being snowed in tomorrow.

We've been doing some Ninjago sets as well. I was happy that my older boy had the patience to do most of this himself. Behold: Zane's Ice Dragon.
