The felt with the logo and writing must be hard to make up yourself

After reading this thread properly I know realise I have basterdised my box with my homemade insert. I had long assumed that this box was for a Centenary but I now believe it to be a box 3. Textured Box (1958-1960) ref 1101 for the Calendar deLuxe/ Grand Luxe. My insert was always intended as insert mki, some might call it a repro-prototype 😉 and as such it isn´t perfect it fit or finish....mkii was still in pre-production and will now be shelved due to recent due diligence.

Full disclosure: The Centenary Cuckoo and the insert interloper were removed directly after these photos were taken.

On top, what I thought a Centenary box and underneath the box which came with my 2853.

Perhaps of interest is my non-Jezzler 2853 box, this one was made in England and closest in design to number 3, the slight differences being it has a small plain rectangular area for engraving in the middle and also the Omega logo is raised and on the right hand side.

Insert MKI does not look bad, just needs a Type on box. N$v$r too difficult to find.

I had always prized the textured boxes, thought they look très cool.
Now realize the smoothy is the way to go. 😁

Nice pictures, what did the internal of Box 3 look like. Is it possible to get replacement internals or get them second hand, tks

The Jezler box thread back from the dead! Somebody dug deep for this one. Anyway, here are pictures of a full set for the rectangular box (this is for box #3). As you see, the insert is not very durable (the tray is very flimsy). Your only hope is to find a full set or to manufacture something similar. I've never seen just an insert for sale on its own.

I don't know if they are still available. You best bet is to take the pictures to an AD.

Would it be possible to see a photo under this insert. I also have one without insert and would like to make one.

I had a number of inserts custom made for the rectangular Omega Sterling box. They are available if anybody needs one. We took an original insert and asked them to make it as close to original as possible.

PM me if any of you have a sterling box without an insert and you are interested.

Sorry for the delay. This is the under side of the insert. The bottom and sides (everything in white) is a satin like fabric which encases what feels like thin cardboard. Red felt lines the interior. Again, these inserts are not very impressive. One wrong squeeze and it's crushed.

I would be very happy with this custom job. Looks dead on.

Not sure if the compartments are wide enough for larger watches than 34mm diameter - I would check this first before making an offer.
This box could also be for straps only for dealer´s storage or a presentation box of a traveling agent...

I bought a box with similar inserts (but only 2 trays) and one tray could not be used because the sections were too narrow and supposed to only hold straps...

And this box is way too expensive IMHO

These were exactly my feelings too, looks like a strap box and @ 250 maybe, but @ €999 😵‍💫😲
