Hello new members...
Welcome to the OmegaForums.net!!
I have specifically created this thread just for the newbies who come on here after they have been given a watch buy their uncle's uncle twice removed OR they have bought what you think is a legit Omega off good old flee bay!
The idea is you post your watch here and it is discussed by our panel of experts, who I might add, may say few choice words like 馃が and 馃が or maybe 馃が.
The will endeavour to be as blunt as possible, but getting you the answer you are looking for.
The main idea is this..
It will remove the countless new threads asking 'Is my watch fake?' or 'I was left this by my dad's dad's dad from 1860'
Any new threads will be merged in to this one as of now.
Thanks very much.

is it possible that I have like an old 8520 that looks different or have I been scammed?

I鈥檓 going to echo the sentiments you got on your other thread. You need a full movement shot. Not ultra macro closeups of certain select spots of the movement.

Hello, I鈥檓 buying my first big wacht monday. An Omega Seamaster 2551.80.00, cal1120.
The serialnumber on the lug and on the movement matches. Can someone please check this one out as I don鈥檛 want to fail my first buy.
Thank you in advance!

I'm looking to buy an Omega Seamaster 2551.80 this week.
I'm a newbie and looking to purchase my first Omega watch.
Omega Seamaster 300 Diver 212.30.41.20.03..001
Does it look Legit? The seller has several transactions. Any input is appreciated. I don't want to be fooled.
Please can I get some input on whether this is legit or not?
It appears to be a Seamaster Diver 300m Regatta of some description but I can鈥檛 find any images of this dial/hand/chronometer colour combinations anywhere.
Other than the missing lume dot from the bezel it appears in reasonable condition albeit needs a proper clean.
