Hello all, I am looking at this 2006 Aqua Terra (25033300) from a gray market dealer, comes with full set. From my own research and comparing it with other watches online it looks fine but I am by no means an expert, or even an amateur. What are your thoughts? Also wondering if there is a way of distinguishing if the 2500 movement is a 2500a, b, or c by looking at the case back (from what I understand 2006 is too early for 2500d movements). Thanks!

ive posted simmilar post in vintage awatches 😁 can someone delete it?
I’m looking at this Omega Seamaster in an auction and I’d appreciate a sanity check from people who know these well.

These are literally all the photos available from the auction house. There are no movement photos, no serial number photo, no inside clasp photo, no caseback interior photo, and no reference number stated in the listing.

From the visible details, it looks to me like a Seamaster 300M sword-hand model, likely a 2254.50, but I want to ask a more specific question:

Do these photos show any obvious fake tells, major mismatch signs, or non-original parts?

A few things I noticed:

  • the watch head looks broadly correct to me
  • the bracelet end links appear to be stamped 825
  • if that reading is correct, the bracelet may be a Bond-style 1503/825 rather than the factory-correct 1610/930 usually associated with the 2254.50
  • so I’m aware it may be a bracelet swap, but I’m mainly trying to understand whether the watch itself shows any obvious authenticity issues

What I’d like help with:

  • does the dial look correct?
  • do the hands look correct?
  • does the bezel insert, font, and pearl look right?
  • do the case shape, helium valve, crown guards, and caseback look right?
  • does the bracelet and clasp look like genuine Omega, even if it may be the wrong bracelet for the reference?
  • do you see anything here that would make you seriously worry about a fake or franken watch?

I know nobody can fully authenticate a watch from auction photos alone, but I’d really value opinions on whether there are any visible red flags.

Thanks a lot.

Just bought a speedmaster for my dad, after receiving it I noticed the caseback looked off from other reference photos. Does everything seem okay? I want to make sure before gifting it to him.

It looks all good. That is none of the easy tells, that a amature like me, of a fake are present.
So I have to answer yes to all your bullet points exept the last one.

The model may be 2054.50 https://watchcharts.com/watch_model/585-omega-seamaster-300m-chronometer-2054-50/overview

Just purchased a Seamaster Aqua Terra 220.10.41.21.01.002. Omega HQ confirmed the serial exists and matches the model. NFC Master Chronometer card is valid.
Does the movement look genuine to you? Any red flags?

My girlfriend bought this Omega for me at the auction and I’m trying to find out if it is original and legit. I heard it's often faked.
Serial number on lug and movement serial is the same. It's engraved on one lug.

Inside the back cover it says 168.1640.
It seems to be famous Peter blake diver

Can you please tell me if this watch looks genuine and original, and whether the parts look correct together?

Hi all, this is my first post here but I am hoping to become a member of this community by purchasing my first Omega 😉 This is what a private seller sent me. It looks good to me (and he claims to have a receipt for the purchase.) But I wanted to check with the experts here before I proceed. Thanks very much for the help!

Hello Guys, is there any reason to suspect that this is a fake? It’s a white dial speedy, in full set.
Thanks a lot!

Sure, could come from a reputable dealer with plenty of feedback.

Hi all,
Found this beauty for a good price. Can anyone help me authenticate this from the pics and provide any advice as to what to look out for on this reduced model? I’m not too familiar…
Thanks in advance!
