Hello all! I have recently purchased this Omega Speedmaster bracelet ref. 1564/975 at a flea market. I don't know if it is a genuine piece, and would very much appreciate your opinions. Stamping layout is different from examples I can find online. STAINLESS STEEL marking is on top, ref. 1564/975 is in the middle, SWISS MADE marking is on the bottom, with the 62 certification stamp on the side rather than above the text. Link codes read GAE. Thank you!

If it's a fake, it's a pretty good one. I'm seeing others on the web from reputable sellers that look the same. The 975 on just one of the end links threw me off but others are the same. My vote is real.

Thank you, I was confused because the clasp engraving on mine has a different layout than any other bracelets I was seeing online.

I would like to see a photo of the lug that also has the serial number on it.

Strange as I got a match on serial and reference number for this one. Any other red flags? Thank you, appreciate your help

To my eye, the movement looks like an authentic 8900 because it does not have this piece that is common on the counterfeits.

Google...well when I looked up the serial number it comes back with the right model.

Serial number:83351218
Article ref:22012412102002
Version of movement:8900A

I see nothing in the photos to suggest a fake.

Hello all!

The seller and I have agreed on a price - ready to pull the trigger! I am not a watch guy but Claude thinks it looks good and suggests I ask you fine lot if you think it has been Frankensteined.

To me it looks better than anything else I found from comparable models and for a good price. Any thoughts greatly appreciated!

I can also of course take it to someone local after receiving it for a sanity check.

Definitely looks real to me but I would note that the dial and hands are modern lumina service replacements, not the original tritium, but as long as you're fine with that there isn't anything wrong with it.

Thanks redpcar, a larger sized bracelet as a positive sign was definitely outside my wheelhouse

And thanks dsio, I did kinda wonder why the hands were still luminescent considering the tritium should be a few half lives in by now, so that makes sense. I guess some might prefer the original tritium patina. As long as it doesn’t make it feel spammy/Franken I’m fine either way
