No. Replica

Replica is a nice word.
I prefer fake, or more correctly, counterfeit.

Hey guys!, it's me again!! Once again thanks a lot for the help on my previous watch, it turned out great.

Looking at a NTTD bond. I find it kind of odd that it's in a wooden case, didn't these only come with leather pouches? Seller also had other watches for sale including a 2541.80 that is now sold a few oris's and a couple other interesting pieces. This watch is on it's second owner, supposedly he purchased it from a chrono24 seller but on an outside deal. Either way please let me know your thoughts!

Just saw this watch on eBay, have doubts about it, as the clasp looks a bit too "rough". The price is kinda low. What would you say?

Buy the seller. Feedback of 16. I would spend my $5700 elsewhere.

I thought so! Is it even an authentic model? I cant find anything like it, anywhere. Especially with the big 1.

Nope. Cheapie fake on the streets of NYC for $20. Not even stainless.

At this point it doesn't matter. It's like asking if your fake Rembrandt painting has an authentic frame.
If you have purchased the watch and paid for an authentic, try to return it.
We haven't scrutinized the case yet because 90% of the watch is a Chinese replica. Assumption is that it will also be fake.

As an update, everything that was thought to be fake in this thread was not with the exception of the movement. I sourced an 1152 movement from a watchmaker, took it to Omega for a full service, replaced the bezel, hands, crystal, dial, gaskets, etc. I’m in it for about the same as the cost of a preowned one on Chrono24, but mine is completely overhauled.

Fortunately only one stone missing from the bezel. I was only suspicious when I saw the wrist tattoos...the price clearly seems fair.

so are many/most of the "certified" Omega's on the "Grey Market" fake...or just not from an Authorized Dealer?? I'm currently looking at one on Amazon (from Japan)...any thoughts? If I got it and I learned it was a fake Omega, wouldn't Amazon be held responsible since they're promoting it that way through their site??
