Hi all, I'm brand new to the forum so forgive me if I break etiquette in some way. I recently purchased a vintage Seamaster 30 135.003-62-SC which I absolutely love, but given now mint it looks I'm suspicious that it might be a redial. What do you experts think?

I vote original 馃榾 Although more and better pictures would be helpfull. These Seamaster 30's can often be find with very well preserved and sometimes even pristine dials.

It appears original to me. It's quite pleasing. I'd own it. I'd wear it.

Some of the minute markers look misaligned but I think that鈥檚 due to the angle. A front on picture will settle it but I also think original

Leaning towards original, but really not sure with this one. Gotta say if it is a refinished dial, it is a good one.

I would have voted original based on the first photo, but this last one makes me nervous. Some of the batons do not appear to be centered within the minute track. And the lume pip at 6 does not appear to align with the numeral.

I'd say it's original.
Tiny differences in positioning where we expect absolute precision and perfection nowadays weren't always the major concern of dial makers back in that era.

white paint looks to be over the numerals and markers. specially calls my attention at 2 o clock marker. otherwise would say original but this fact makes me dubious. others can tell if this was something common in factory dials, which i ignore.

what is movement serial?

Not sure about the serial, here is a pic from the last time the case was opened

20.1 millon serial, year 1963. looks crisp and even original gasket appears to be present. most likely dial is original too. nice watch

Thanks everyone, seems like the consensus is "legit or a really good redial", which is the best I could hope for 馃榾

Apparently the dial was repainted without removing the applied markers.

Ahh, I think this is why I couldn't get deep into vintage Omega ( apart from the cost). Even with all of the wisdom here, there are differing opinions and not a satisfactory definitive answer. An auctioneer for a very well known auction house was recently bemoaning this with regards to Rolex and aftermarket Singer dials. How some people would believe they had an original dial then others would chip in saying it wasn't original to the watch but fitted retrospectively. These watches cost tens of thousands and several cases have gone to court!
