Yes I did do my research and i think it is legit but I am far from an expert and it looks like there are many variations of fakes I am not aware about. Seamaster 300s are a minefield as you all know. I can write a dissertation about why I believe it is original but what would be the point, there are countless little details that I wouldn't know about whereas an "expert" would ping it for a fake or the real deal in 10 seconds...

It’s worth putting forward your thoughts, regardless of how inexperienced you are. It shows effort on your part and gets the conversation flowing.
Generally threads asking for help which include the OPs initial research get more replies etc than simply saying “is this legit”.
You don’t need an essay, just a few lines on correctness, condition, attractiveness etc.

In reply to your question, yes it’s legit, the serial matches the caseback, dial/hands/bezel combo imo so it seems correct. However, condition is poor, I’d say there’s been water ingress and some point and it isn’t particularly attractive.
What’s the price?
