depends on you.... I can wear a 45.5 3313 POC, but not the 2nd gen 8500's even in the smaller size. Wrist diameter is only a small part, proportions of the wearer and of the wrist can change things. I can wear the 45.5 and many 42mm watches but my GF has a 42mm Seiko that looks horrible on me as the lug to lug is just to tall, but on her tiny wrists it looks great even on a thick nato. On the other hand my SKX at 42mm looks great on me and odd on her. I can comfortably wear the larger size bread watches, but a Heuer Monaco looks stupid on me... That being said if you are unsure get the smaller piece.

In my opinion, it is too big on your wrist! Even if I was personally okay with how it looks from a width perspective, the case is also very thick on your smaller wrists!

I think the 43.5 looks fine on your wrist. It’s not
too big in my opinion. I am not too sure about the small 39mm PO.. it’s just too small!!

POs should be worn large!

I like the sm300 as well. In fact I prefer that more classic aesthetic and that’s why i own the sm300. But then I am in suit for most of the week..

I have the same wrist size as you and I had the 43,5mm PO but sold it and got the 39,5mm instead.

The 43,5 has a lot of wrist presence and it always felt like I’m wearing a large chunk of metal on the wrist. I preferred something less attention grabbing hence flipped it for the 39,5.

The 39,5 is also thinner which means that I can wear it comfortably under my shirt cuff. That meant I can use it at the office and on the weekends.

All in all very pleased with the 39,5 as I now have the flexibility to wear it in almost all occasions.

My wrist is your size, maybe a bit smaller. I tried on the 43.5 the other week, and I was surprised that it fit well on my wrist. It looks fine on your wrist too. However, it's still a big, bold piece which is a style choice. I'm in a business environment, and I think that would be too big for me as an everyday watch. It would be perfectly fine as a weekender.

A PO 2500 is my daily, and it's the perfect size. If I were going to get one of the new ones, I'd most likely go with the 39.5 mm. But as most have said, it's your choice and preference between the two. There's no wrong answer.

Thanks for your reply! I am considering the sm300 as well.

Thanks so much for the reply and pictures! The watch looks great on you! I'm still not sure if I should get the black or blue dial haha! but for sure I'll have to try the 39.5!

Hi guys, I really need your help here 😀
I tried on this Planet Ocean 8900 (43.5mm) and wanted to know if you guys think it's too big for me (my wrist is about 6.5 inches). I'm not sure if the 8800 (39.5mm) version might be better for me. Note that I intend to get this watch with a steel bracelet.

I also tried on the Seamaster 300 which is 41mm. Would be glad to know if you you think it fits me better / it looks better overall.

Thanks so much!
I think 41 is your upper limit

Roger that. So you think the 39.5 PO will look good on my wrist?

You act like 39.5 mm is a downgrade. How big do you wear your pants? 😉

I don’t think it’s a downgrade at all actually, I just like to hear more opinions. Somewhat like a poll 😀

I agree with the 39mm club. I asked this question many, many times and these guys are great here. Here is what I learned- The height is the killer. Then again I tried on the black and white PO GMT which sits very tall due to the case. But the watch is amazing. I would just keep on trying them on. It’s really looking down at the watch as opposed to the mirrors in the store. Whatever you don’t just try it on with a sweatshirt XXL tall like I did. Try it on with what you wear everyday. Sorry for rambling and being short in the reply before. The kids here acted like they drank a cafe americano with two extra shots before bed.

Didn't the last guy who used that photo get banned?
If he did, I'd hope it was only because he did it again after someone had already told him what rule he violated the first time.

Yeah, some Aqua Terra’s can be a bit

Yeah, some Aqua Terra’s can be a bit dressy. They’re getting sportier though. I have my eye on this one.

Yes! I love this Aqua Terra can be both dressy and sporty
