Is this a redial? Is it even authentic? Please help a beginner.

Hello all, I have begun to dip my toe into vintage watches and was wondering if you could help me with this watch. I have reserved it on Chrono24 because I personally believe it is absolutely gorgeous, but I think it may be a redial. It has no model name on the dial, and while the movement looks great, I don't know what to think. Here is the Chrono24 link:

https://www.chrono24.com/omega/vintage-dress-watch-14k-gold--id10612578.htm.

The seller doesn't provide any info on the model, and I can't find any information with the provided reference number. However, the seller seems very reputable.

So, is it a redial? Is it even a real Omega?

Thanks in advance.

Seems strange to me that there is no "SWISS" or "SWISS MADE" at the bottom of the dial, but there are other people around here who actually know what they're talking about. The unsigned crown is also unexpected.

The crown is definately not original. But, in fact, if you look closer and zoom in you can see the swiss made inscription on the dial (it's just simply covered by the beveled crystal). To me it looks like an original dial. Case also appears to be original.
I think is a nice example, but not for that price.

Best,
Javi.

Thank you. But what is the issue with the price? All other solid gold Omega's in this condition I see selling for around a similar price or more, what do you think would be appropriate for this one?

Certainly genuine. Dial looks OK, I think there may be a SWISS marking hidden beneath the edge of the crystal.

The crown is also correct for this reference and plenty of others from this period.

Considering the inscription, I'd say the price was on the high side by at least $300.

Can’t speak to originality as I have a horrible track record so far, but that is one of the cleanest waffle dials I have seen. And love the lug shape. Can’t hurt to fire off an offer to the seller and see what they say.

For all the posts tend to comment on asking for photos, you rarely actually offer assistance once OP does post photos. 😗

Apparently you have nothing better to do than comment on my posts. reversed-hand-with-middle-finger-extended_1f595.png

I didn't see much point saying anything else, after Norman posted.

I was just happy to see a movement being handled by somebody wearing finger cots.

He has assisted the thread by making it worthy in the future due to pictures.

Feel free to ask newbies to add pictures yourself so it’s not @efauser or myself as much 😉

Whops, didn't know about that one. Thanks for the info though!

To put some more butter to the fish:

It is an American model - see the numbers inside the case back.

therefor this uncommon case design - I have not seen yet on a swiss made case...
