Hello, I am brand new to this forum and thank you for having me! I am in the process of buying a vintage Seamaster. Is this crown signature a red flag? I have not seen one like this before … thank you in advance !!

It’s not an Omega crown. My suggestion is to post more photos so we can provide a more holistic assessment.

While we wait for further pictures: I’d rarely call an incorrect crown a “red flag”. Yes, you might want to factor in the cost and effort to find the right one, but if the rest of the package is good it doesn’t have to be a dealbreaker.

Yowza it is all off. It's a redial. The bezel is missing and case is off. Maybe it has been replated. It should be passed on unless the seller will be giving you money to take it off their hands.

I’d like to formally withdraw my previous statement. 😁

Sorry, but this is a very bad redial, it’s missing the bezel and I don’t really want to know what else there is to discover. Run.

Have a look at the private watch sales forum here on OF. Vintage Omegas, including both manual and automatic wind Seamaster models, come up for sale with some regularity. You're much more likely to find a good watch at a fair price here.

Every dollar more then say 25 is a complete waste of money.
