Is there such a thing as a watch that ends this madness?

There are watches that slow it down. That redirect it. That put it on hold whilst funds are acquired. And there probably is a point where it comes to a full stop. The point where you're no longer willing or able to spend money on this hobby. Or you find another hobby. Like collecting vintage sports cars. Or race horses.

Actually I am going to go against the flow here and say yes back in November I found what I now know really is The One for me and it has been on my wrist since then everyday with nothing else being worn or even thought about. Don't get me wrong I haven't had a huge collection but most the time between 5-7 watches and only divers/sport watches. I actually traded out a Rolex Sea Dweller that I really thought I was going to love but ended up just not bonding with it and only wore it a handful of times in the little over a year I had it. I then fell in love with a Gen1 Vacheron Constantin Military Black dial 42042/423A and I can honestly say I still love everything about it and I do now intend to sell off all my other watches bar one that was one of my fathers watches. But there is another reason this is happening which is my still declining health and the thought I need to do this while I still can and the fact one or two watches really is enough for me and as always what's a thread without some pictures so here is my VC in all its glory.
