Of course! (…I was discussing Rolex, not cars…)
Sadly, I put all of my money of those days in Berkshire Hathaway…

You have no need to worry there - Especially with Buffet buying Duracell. BRK has a great upward trend graph so i think your safe.

Agree but always thought of Porsche drivers as Omega men, Rolex wearers go for Mercedes and BMW's, right?
I can't speak for anyone else, but I wear an Omega SMPc and drive a Mercedes ('cause I'll never be able to afford an Aston Martin) 😀 ... I'm thinking about shopping for a used Sub 16610 but no decision yet - I guess that would put me back in the cliche column!

I'm sitting at my Porsche mechanics garage getting an oil change. I'm always interested to see what he is wearing. Last time it was a mint solid gold vintage omega. This time Seiko, he said he traded up for a VC, and won't wear that one to work

That oil change will be painful, which hole does he drain the oil from - does he top you up through the mouth?

Talking of which - you have reminded me the G Wagon needs a top up! Thx

Oil change on my '84 targa is over $100, air cooled so it takes 13 quarts (not quartz, like the clock on the dash, that works . . not!)

It was only the other day I was discussing in the Omega Boutique that Rolex are not being innovative as omega are. Look at the DSOTM, GSOTM, 45th anniversary the remake of the SM300 - this is innovation and listening to what buyers want. Innovation for Rolex is putting a blue dial in a Sea Dweller!

Bingo. I find Omega interesting, each year something rolls out that is exciting. Rolex? Not so much. Seemed to me the Rolex community had to create some artificial hype around the Sea Sweller rollout a few months back, and despite some amount of manufactured hype, it landed with a big giant thud. DIsclaimer, I do own one Rolex (Explorer II), but I just don't find any of the other models interesting enough.

I have to say I don't aspire to a Rolex for the reasons other people do. If you have to have because everybody else does, then you are the one who is boring. Plus those Mercedes hands. Make it stop! Regards, bill

@RedRaider01 I like that pic and that train wreck happens when companies start using zebra and leopard patterns and then bedazzle (bedazzling) their watch line.

And while bedazzling has been around for some time, please do not get it confused with VAJAZZLING (just learned of this today).
