Saw it. Parmigiani has some great watches, at much much higher prices than anywhere else. I'm sure reserves will be extremely high.

When I look to spend five figures, I always look for at least one relumed hand. 😁

(I also find the red minute hand to be dubious...)

They could have at least made and attempt to match the lume

Well, in that context you could say that it is an "honest" example!

Is that a Rattrapante? What’s the auction? Who is Parmigiani?

Please read the Forum rules - there's a limit of two questions per post. 🙄

Monaco Legends (https://www.monacolegendauctions.com/auction/Exclusive-Timepieces-Jewels-15) and one of the big name dealers.

Had a quick look at past results. More money than sense comes to mind. Monegasque’s only.

saw that as well.
I'm guessing most of the "legendary" dealers are also some of the best collectors in the world. Like Parmigiani

That watch sold on eBay about 4 years ago for $2499 "buy it now". The vender knew it was a good watch and he said in the listing that it was worth 10 times what he was asking.
I missed it by seconds!!!
I will see if I can find the original listing notes.... the pictures are gone.

HERE IS THE ORIGINAL LISTING SPEIL...……………...

For your consideration, a vintage Longines 13zn wristwatch. I took this watch to my jeweler (Smoketree Jewelers in Palm Springs, CA, Jeremiah is his name) and he verified that this is the exceedingly rare movement that is the pinnacle of Longines (and, watchmaking, at least for that period in history). From the 1940's. The face has a good amount of patina and the watch is missing a side button but Jeremiah did indeed confirm that the movement itself is in near flawless condition and will only eventually need a small amount of oil to remain in such top notch condition.
See photos, on the paper the jeweler wrote all of the numbers and inscriptions found inside the watch.
This would be the perfect project watch for someone who is looking for such a project, or a fixer to turn around and sell for....roughly 10 x what I am asking here.
See photos. I cannot open the watch (and would not anyhow, at the risk of damaging it) but you can rest assured that it is, in fact, THE movement that Longines mastered in the 40's, and that was not duplicated until the 80's by A Lange & Sohn.
A MUST HAVE FOR ANY COLLECTOR!!!!!!!!!!
