For years I had a number of tool watches and chronos, then went to diver watches for the dial simplicity. A Speedy has always been on my 'want' list (and I'm itching to post a WTB for a specific one), though it might not be my daily wear. I'll never know until I start the day with it.
Agree with the OP, though. Manual wind can be forgotten during a rushed morning - and I'm no morning person! If I'm wearing a manual, it's usually wound once I'm at work and have a quiet moment.
